Min 04/24/1919 PI , Wichita Falle,Texas,April 24th 1919. 1 The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls,Texas,met in regular session on the above date for the transaction of the business of the City, with Mayor J,B,Marlow,presiding,and with the following officers present, Aldermen J,F,Reed,J,M,MoFall,M,A,Bundy,H,F,Weldon and W,S,Curlee. City Atty Mathis,City Clerk Walkup,City Marshal Smith,Fire Chief McClure, Acting City Engineer Donald and Street Supt Dobson in attendance. o 0 0 Minutes of last regular session were read and approved. o 0 0 A petition signed by Mrs Margaret D Smith,and six others,asjn that ire,�, I plug be installed at ,corner of Galveston and Waco StreetL3�,,ne e p n A d D do McFall moved that the matter be refered to the public utilities committee with power to act,which motion was seconded by Alderman Bundy and carried. o 0 o Ralph Hines came before the Board relative a motion passed by the Board on the tenth day of April 1919 closing awtwenty foot street on the north side of the east half of block five ,and part of the west half of block four, southland addition to the City of Wichita Falls,Texas, after discussing the matter, Alderman Curlee moved that the motion passed on the tenth day of April 1919, be amended so as to read as fodtws, that a twenty foot street running along the north side of blocks four and five Southland Addition to the City of Wichita Falls Texas, be closed from the west side of Alma street to eleventh street,provided M,D,Walker and M,Staniforth,dedioate a sixty foe-6- street from ilmaxwtritat the north end of Alma street to eleventh street, Phich motion was seconded by Alderman McFall and carried. o 0 o M Pois,came before the Board and asked permission to use ten feet of the street in front of 713 ohio ave,for the purpose of storing material for repairs on building at that point,whereupon Alderman McFall moved that the request be granted under the usual provisions,To wit; that the said M,Pois hold the City harmless from any and all damages that may be caused by the storing of said material,which motion was seconded by Alderman Weldon and carried. o 0 o Alderman Weldon moved that Mayor wire an invitation to the association of Clinics and Post Graduate work,at Waco, to hold their 1920 Convention at Wichita Falls,which motion was seconded by Alderman McFall,and carried. 0 0 o Alderman Curlee moved thatAStreet Committee be authorized to purchase Culverts for street drainage,which motion was seconded by Alderman Bundy and carried. o 0 0 • Alderman Reed moved that A,H,Brown,be paid $35.00. per month for services as special Police and night watchman in the south a east part of the City, which motion was seconded by Alderman McFall and carried. o 0 o Alderman ,eldon moved that city bills be paid at any time when properly 0'Kd by the Finance Committee,which motion was seconded by Alderman Curlee and carried. o 0 o The Board then went into Executive session to consider matters authorized by the City Charter to be considered in Executive session, the Board then went out of Executive session. o 0 0 The Board of Alderman then adjourned. o 0 0 Read nd approved this first day of May A,D,1919. ,74 y---d-2,z4' Mayor. The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls Texas,met in Called Session on the above date for the transaction of the business of the City,with Mayor J,B,Marlow,presiding,and with the following officers present,Aldermen J,F,Reed,J,M,McFall,M,A,Bundy and d,S,Curlee, City Clerk Galkup in attendance- Mayor Marlow,announced that this meeting had been called for the purpose of considering the appointment of a veternary and Food inspector, After discussing the matter thoroughly,Alderman McFall moved that the Board employ Dr Geo,H,Allen,City Veternary,Assistant Dairy and Food Inspector and Health Officer,at a salary of $200.00:per month,commencing may first 1919, which motion was seconded by Alderman Bundy and carried.
