The Board 6f Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in regular
session on the above date for the transaction of the business of the City,
with Mayor J. B. Marlow, presiding, and with the following officers present,
Aldermen J. F. Reed, H. F. Weldon and W. ii. Curlee City Atty Mathis, City
Clerk Walkup, Marshall Smith, Fire Chief '''& lute and acting City Engineer

Minutes of the last regular session were read and approved.

Alderman Reed moved that J. 0. Polhenus, be permitted to use 15ft of Tenth
Street at the corner of Tenth Street and Scott Avenue for the purpose of
storing material for the erection of a building at that point, under the
usual provision to wit: That the said J. 0. Polhenus hold the City harmless
from any damages that may be caused by storing said material, which motion
was seconded by Alderman Weldon and carried.

Alderman Reed moved that Fred Fultz be permitted to erect a gasoline filing
station at 605 and 607 Indiana Avenue under the usual provision to wit:
That the erection of said gasoline filing station shall be made under the
supervision of the city Engineer and that the said Fred Fultz his administrators
successors and Assigns hold the city harmless from any damages that may be
caused by the construction and the maintance of the said gasoline filing
station and remove the Sadid upon notice of the Board of Aldermen and to replace
sidewalk in proper condition which motion was seconded by Alderman Curlee,
and carried.

Alderman Reed moved that H. F. Stucky Building Company, be permitted to use
15ft of the street and 6 ft of the Alley in rear at 718 Ohio Avenue for the
purpose of repairs on building at that point, under the usual provisions
to wit: that the said R. F. Stuoky Building Company its administrators,
Successors and Assigns ho,.d the City harmless from any damages that may be
caused by storing said material which motion was secondedby Alderman Curlee
and carried.

The Southern Oil Corporation of Oklahoma presented to the Board as application
for a franchise to construct a private telephone line along and across certain
streets and alleys in the city of Wichita Faills, Texas, Whereupon, Alderman
Weldon moved that the application be received and filed and that said Corpora-
tion be permitted to construct said telephone line, under the usual provision
to wit: that the construction of said telephone line shall be undet• the
supervision of the City Engineer and that the said Southern Oil Corporation
of Oklahoma its Legal'representives, Administrators, Successors and Assigns,
shall hold the city harmless from any damages that may be caused by the erection
and maintanance of said telephone line and to remove same upon notice of
the Board of Aldermen which motion was seconded by Alderman Curlee an, carried.

Alderman aeldon moved that Alderman Bundy and Fire Chief McClure be authorized
to purchase 1000 ft of fire hose or as much as may seem necessary which motion
was seconded by Alderman Cp.rlee and carried.

An agreement between R. E. Huff and others owning property joining the alley
running North and South in 18 Southh.�,,p� Addition, was presented to the
Board, whereupon, Aldermanoved that(`a., eement be approved and filed
which motion was seconded by Alderman Reed and carried. 4.

Alderman,Reed moved that Alderman Bundy be authorized to employ two police-
men also buy moter cycle if he thinks necessary which motion was seconded
by Alderman Weldon and carried.

Mayor MarlowthenaskedVkyor Protein Reed to take the chair,whereupon, Mayor
Marlow moved that Alderman Reed be authorized to lay a 6 inch sewer line in
the alley running north and south through Block No. 177, which motion was
seconded by Alderman Weldon and carried.

Mayor Marlow then resumed the chaiJ whereupon Alderman Weldon moved that,
W. Y. Hammack be permitted to use part of the alley and not to exceed 10 ft
of Tenth Street, at the rear of the South Methodist Church, for the purpose
of storing material for repairs at that point, under the usual provisions to
wit: that the said W. Y. Hammack his administrators, Successors and Assigns
hold the City harmless from any damages that may be caused by storing said
material, which motion was seconded by Alderman Curlee and carried.

N. Stanley Field came before the board and recommended an amendment to the
plumbing ordlnanoe, whereupon, Alderman moved that a committee be
appointed to confer with Mr Stanley Fieldnrelative to said amendment, which
motion was seconded by Alderman Curlee and carried.

Mayor Reed then appointed the following committee, Aldermen Bundy,Cutlee and
McFall.

Alderman Curlee moved that Robert A. Wilson be permitted to construct an Automoy
bile washraok on rear end of lot at 608 Indiana Avenue, under the usual provi-
sion to wit: That the construction of the said washrack shall be under the
supervision ofCity Engineer and that the said B. A. Wilson his administrators,
aueeessors and assigns hold the City harmless from any damages that may be caused
by the construction and maintenance of said washrack and to remove same apon
order of the Board of Aldermen which motion was seconded by Alderman Bundy and
carried.

Alderman Weldon moved that Henry Hund be permitted to erect a Gasoline Filing
Station on Tehth Street at the corner of Tenth Street and Scott Avenue, under
the usual provision to wit: that the erection of the said gasoline filing
station shall be made under the supervision of the City engineer and that the
said Henry Hunt, his administrators, Successors and Assigns hold the City
harmless from any damages that may be caused by the erection and maintenance
of said gasoline filing station and to remove same unon order of the Board of
Aldermen and to replace sidewalk in proper condition which motion was seconded
by alderman Curlee antPcarried.

Alderman Bundy moved that The Ryan Petroleum Corperption be permitted to erect
a Gasoline Filing Station on Indiana Avenue in front of Lots 27, 28 & 29,Bloak
91, City of Wichita malls, under the usual provision to wit: that the erection
of said Gasoline Filing otation be under the supervision of the City Engineer
and that the said, Ryan Petroleum Corparation its legal representatives ,
Administrators, Successors and "ssigns hold the cite harmless from any damages
that may be caused by the erection and maintenance of said gasoline filing
station and to remove dame on notice by the Board of Aldermen and to replace
sidewalk in proper condition which motion was eeconded by Alderman ItaFall and
carried.
