Min 07/24/1919 • • Wichita Falls, Texas, July 24, 1919. The Board of Aldermen of the City of ?Tiohita Falls, Texas, met in regular session on the above date for the transaction of the business of the City with Alderman Reed, Mayor rotem presiding and with the following officers present, Aldermen M. A. Bundy, W. S. Curlee and M. F. Weldon. City Atty Mathis, City Clerk Walkup, City Marshal Smith, Dity Trearurer Barron, Tax Assessor and Collector Anderson, Fire Chief McClure and acting City Engineer Donald in attendance. O 0 0 Minutes of last regular session were read and approved. O 0 o Alderman Weldon moved that the matter of flushing and cleaning the streets be referred to Alderman Curlee with power to emplpysuffioient help for that purpose which motion was seconded by Alderman Bundy and carried. O 0 0 Alderman Weldon moved that the matter of a private telephone line for the Southern Oil Corporation of Oklahoma be referred to Alderman Curlee with power to act in accordance with permit granted by thU Board on the 29th day of May 1919 which motion was seconded by Alderman Bundy and carried. O 0 0 Alderman Weldon moved that the Fort Worth and Denver City Railway Company, be granted an extension of Thirty days time to commence the erection of a freight depot between Fifth and Sixth Street, which motion was seconded by Alderman Curlee and carried. O 0 0 A request from W. J. Grisham that he be permitted to pave one-half of block on Tyler street between Tenth and Eleventh Street at his own cost was presented to the Board, whereupon, Alderman Weldon mowed that the request be granted and t that the City Engineer furnish Mr. Grisham with the neoessalry specifications for said paving whioh motion was seconded by Alderman Curlee and carried. c 0 o The matter of the sale of Tenth Street Fire Station and the location and areotion of two fire stations in other parts of the City was referred to the Public Safety Committee with instruction to report back to this Board at its next regular Session. 0 0 o Alderman Weldon moved that in the matter of back taxes on property affected by the Suit of Ed. Wilson et al vs the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, that the City Tax Assessor and Collector be instructed to assess said property in accordance with to the asOessment of the County Assessor ' and to collect said back taxes with out penalty, interest or cost.which motion was seconded by Alderman Bundy and carried. o'0 o The Board of Aldermen then adjourned. o 0 o Read and approved this Thirty First day of July A.
