The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in regular session
on the above date for the transaotion of the business of the City with Alderman
J. F-.- Reed, Mayor Protean, presiding and with the following officers present,'
Aldermen M. A. Bundy, J. M. McFall, W. S. Curlee and H. F. Weldon. City Olerk
Walkup City Marshal Smith, City Treasurer Barron, City Tax Assessor and
collector Anderson, Fire Chief McClure and acting City Engineer Donald in
attendance.

Minutes of last regular session were read and approved.

Alderman McFall moved that Engineer Bucbanan be granted a leave of absence from
August 2nd to loth,. included, which motion was seconded by Alderman Weldon and
carried.

H. B. Hayes came before the Board and ask permission to prepare and_lean np_ 1'''
part of Scotland Park for play ground purposes,.*hereupon, Alderman McFall moved
that the matter be referred to Alderman Reed with power to act which motion was
seconded by Alderman Bundy and carried.

Alderman Weldon moved that the City Attorney be instructed to institute
condemnation proceedings on lot 4, Block 26, Ja7.onick Addition to the City
of Wichita Falls, Texas, also on 22 feet West of the West end of Lot 8, E. A.
Austin-, survey to the East end of Huff Avenue as now shown by the recorded plat
of the Southland Addition to the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, for the purpose
of opening public streets which motion was seconded by Alderman Bundy and
carried.

Alderman Bundy moved that the account of H. J. Anderson for $9.50 commission
on $196.75 Sewer collection for the Month of June be paid which motion was
seconded by Alderman Curlee and carried.

The Board of A.iermen then went into executive session to considar matters
authorized by the City charter to be considered in executive session, the
Board then went out of executive session, andthefollowing business was
transacted.

Alderman Bundy moved that the City pay for the desk now used by the City
Marshal and also purchase a desk for the use of the assisstant Police
Commissioner which motion was seconded by Alderman Curlee and carried.

Alderman McFall moved that the following specifications be adopted at the
Standard Specifications for Street Paving for the City of Wichita Falls, on
the approval of the City Engineer, which motion was seconded by Alderman
Weldon and carried.. Said specifications being as follows.

Alderman Bandy moved that T.anly Humphries be granted one week leave of absence
commencing August the First 1919., which motion was seconded by Alderman
MS Pall and carried.
