Min 10/23/191911 . Wichita Falls, Texas, October 23, 1919. The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, 'Texas, met in regular session on the above date for the transaction of the business of the City with Mayor J. B. Marlow presiding, and the following Officers present, Alderman J. M. McFall, M. A. Bundy and W. S. Curlee. City Atty Mathis, City Clerk Walkup, Fire Chief McClure and Acting City Engineer Donald in attendance. o 0 o Minutes of last regular session were read and approved. o 0 0 J. W. Short came before the Board and presented a deed to the City from J. Caruthers subdivision of Block number Twenty Six (26) of the Original I. Jalonick Addition to the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, whereupon, Alderman Bundy moved that the deed be accepted and that the City Clerk be instructed to issue warrant for Two Hundred and Fifty Two ($250.00) Dollars in payment of same which motion was seconded by Alderman YeFall and carried. 0 0 o W. t. Kent representing Kent Brothers & Company a partnership composed of W. L. Kent, W. T. Kent, J. P. Barkley and W. R. Meadows,came before the Board and ask permission to install two Gasoline Filing Stations at the North West corner of Seventh Street and Scott Avenue whereupon, Alderman McFall moved that the said Kent Brothers k Company be permitted to install two Gasoline Filing Stations at 612 Scott Avenue to be placed at least Twenty (20) feet bask of the property line on Seventh Street, under the usual provision to wit- that the installation of said Gasoline Filing Stations shall be under the supervision of the City Engineer and that the said Kents Brothers & Company and W. L. Kent, W. T. Kent, J. P. Barkley and W. R. Meadows individually their Administrators. Successors and Assigns shall h 1, theWharmless from any damages that may be caused by the installation„ `s`�3� as ine Filing Stations, and to remove same upon notice of the Board of Aldermen and to replace sidewalk in proper condition which motion was seconded by Alderman Bundy and carried. o 0 o Mayor Marlow presented his budget for estimated expenses of the City from April 1st, 1919 to March 31st,-1920, whereupon Alderman Curlee moved that the budget be adopted which motion was seconded By Alderman McFall and carried. o 0 o Alderman Curlee moved that Public Service Corporationdbe notified to extend service as provided in franchise and on failure to do so that the City Attorney be instructed to file suit for the forfeiture of their several franehise;Kwhieh motion was seconded by Alderman Bundy and carried. o 0 0 Alderman Curlee moved that the account of G. E. Zimmerman for Seventy Nine Dollars and Twenty ($79f20) Cents for excavating toll Grading on Grant Street be paid which motion was seconded by Alderman Bundy andcarried, o 0 o ORDINANCE 269 AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF AUTOMOBILES TRUCKS, TRACTORS AND TRAILERS WHICH ARE BEIITG OFF!2ED FOR SALE, UPON THE STREETS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS AND PRESCRIBING A PENALTY, was on motion of Alderman McFall seconded by Alderman Curlee put on its third reading and passed by the following yea and nay vote. Alderman McFall yea, Alderman Bundy yea and Alderman Curlee yea. Mayor Marlow then declared Ordinance 269 passed on'its third and final reading by all the Aldermen of the City present Toting Tea. o 0 o ORDINANCE 270 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE 123 WHICH LICENSED, TAXED AND REGULATED TH2 RATE OF POP CORN, PEANUTS, CANDIE ,—tTC UPON THE STREETS 0 F THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY, was on motion of Alderman Curlee seconded by Alderman Bundy put on its second reading and passed by the following yea'and nay vote.Alderman Bundy yea, Alderman Curlee yea and Alderman McFall nay. Mayor Marlow then declared ORDINANCE 270 passed on its second reading bya majority of the Aldermen of the City present voting yea. o 0 o V"�*J. FJ.
