Wichita Falls, Texas, November 13th, 1919.
The Board of ..ldermen of the City of Woichita Falls, Texas, met i regular session
on the above date for the transa tion of t e business of ae Cit-- with Mayor
J. B. Marlow presiding and the following officers present, Alderman J. F. Reed,
J. M. McFall, M. x. Bundy, H. F. Weldon and W. S. Curlee. Cit etty Mathis,
City Clerk Walkup, City Marshal Smith, Fire Chief McClure and Acting City
Engineer Donald in attendance.

Minutes of last regular session were read and approved.

Alderman Wedlon moved that J. . Pond be permitted to lay a Pipe Line on Sixth
Street from Scott Avenue to the Alley between Austin Avenue and Burnett Avenue
and also to plane an underground Oil Tank in said Alley and to construct a Stair-
way in said alley on the rear end of Building at 602- Austin Avenue under the
usual provision to wit; that the construction and installation of said Pipe
Line, Tank and Stairway to be under the supervision of the City Engineer and
that the said J. .I. Pond, hid Administrator, Successor and Assigns shall hold the
City harmless from any damages that may be caused by the Construction and
maintenance of said Pipe Line, Tank and Stairway and remove same upon order of
the Board of Aldermen and to replace all streets and Alleys in proper condition
which motion was seconded by Alderman Reed and carri d.

Alderman McFall moved that E. H. Blanton be permitted to use 15ft of the Street
at 1008- Scott Avenue for the purpose of storing material for the erection of a
building at that point and also to move a Gasoline Filing Station from 911 to
1008 - Scott Avenue under the usual provision to wit; that the installation
of said Gasoline Filing Station shall be under the supervision of the City
Engineer and that the said E. H. Blanton his Administrators, Successors and
Assigns shall hold the City harmless from any damages that may be caused by
storing said material or by the removal, installation and maintenance of said
Gasoline Filing Station and to remove same upon notice of the Board of Aldermen
and to replace all sidewalks in proper condition which motion was seconded by
Alderman Weldon and carried.

Alderman Curlee moved that the Southern Tire and Vulcanizing Company ( a
corporation ) be authorized to install a Gasoline Filing Station at 813-10th
Street under the usual provision to wit:: that the installation of said
Gasoline Filing Station shall be under the supervision of the City Engineer
and that the said Southern Tire and Vulcanizing Company its legal representatives
Administrators, Successors and Assigns shall hold the City harmless from any
damages that may be caused by the installation and maintenance of said Gasoline
Filing Station and to remove same upon notice of the Board of Alderman and to
replace side walk in proper condition which motion was seconded by Alderman
Weldon and carried.

Alderman Curlee moved that J. C. Joplin and Company a partnership composed of
J. C. Joplin and L. C. Waggoner be permitted to use 10 feet of Ninth Street
along the South side of the Telephone building commencing Forty (40) feet from
the curb line on Scott Avenue and extending West to the Alley between Scott Ave.
and Lamar Avenue under the usual provision to wit; That the said J. C. Joplin
and Company construct a Four (4) foot walkway around said building said walkway
to be railed in also that the said J. C. Joplin & Company and J. C. Joplin and
L. C. Waggoner individually shall hold the City harmless from any damages that
may be caused by storing said material. Also to use Five (5) Feet of the Street
at 801- Scott Avenue for the purpose of storing material for repairs on the
Perkins-Snider Building under the same provision as above,which motion was secon-
ded by Alderman Weldon and carried.

Alderman Curlee moved that the City Clerk be instructed to notify the M. K. & T.
Railway Company of Texas to repair track on Pecan Street and place grades,and
drainage in proper condition as per agreement or to remove said track from
Pecan Street which motion was seconded by Alderman McFall and carried.

Alderman Bundy moved that the City purchase 2700 feet of additional fire hose
at One Dollar and Thirty (M1. 30) Cents per foot which motion was seconded by
Alderman Reed and carried.

ORDINANCE No. 272
AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE PRODUCTION, LABELING, HANDLING, PASTEURIZING,
DISTRIBUTION AND SALE OF MILK AND CREAM AND CERTAIN PRODUCTS--FORBIDDING
THE HANDLING AND SALE OF ADULTERATED, UNWHOLESOME AND MISBRANDED MILK OR CREAM
OR SUCH MILK PRODUCTS PROVIDING FOR THE ENFORCEMENT OF THIS ORDINANCE AND
PROVIDING A PENALTY, was on motion of Alderman Weldon seconded by Alderman Reed
put on its seconloreading and passed by thefollowing yea and nay vote. "Alderman
Reed yea, Alderman Bundy yea, Alderman McFall yea, Alderman Weldon yea, and
Alderman Curlee yea. Mayor Marlow then declared Oddinanoe No. 272 passed on
its second reading by the unanimous vote of all the Aldermen of the City
present voting yea.

Moved by Alderman Reed that the Bills be paid as per the 0. K.
of the finance Committee, which motion was seconded by Alderman Weldon
and carried.
The Board then went into Executive Session to consider matters authoriaed by
the City Charter to be considered in executive session, the Board then went
out of exeoutive session and the following business was transacted.

Alderman Weldon moved that Geo. W. Thorburn be appointed City Clerk to fill
out the unexpired term of J. W. Walkup resigned,which motion was seoonded by
Alderman Curlee and carried.
