To Honorable Mayor and Board of Aldermen
Of the city of Wichita Fills, Texas.
Dear Sirs:
We, the tvsaersigned, Charter Commission chosen at a special
election called for that purpose on, towit: the 15th day of Jantiary,
1920, for the purpose of framing a new charter for the said city of
Wichita Falls, Texas, beg to submit herewith the said charter so
framed by us, the original copy of which is hereto attached and
made a part hereof, said charter to be submitted to the qualified
voters of said city at a special election to be held for that pur-
pose. Said charter has been framed by us in accordance with the
Home Rule law passed by the Thirty-third Legislature of the State
of Texas at its regular session approved April 2nd, 1913, in ac-
cordance with the Acts of said. Legislature of 1913, page 307. We
have fixed !march 30th, 1920, as the time said charter shall be sub-
mitted to the qualified voters of said city and at a special
election held for that purpose under the provisions of said Act.
We, your Charter Commission, here now request you to make
your order for said election and comply with all other provisions
of said Act relative to causing the said clerk to mail copy of the
proposed charter to each qualified voter in said city, as appears
from the tax collector's rolls for the year ending January 31st,
1920, and to take all other steps required by said Act or laws of
this state, and charter of said city in providing for said election.
We further recommend to you and the qualified voters of said
city the adoption of said proposed charter.
