Min 02/17/1920 Wichita Falls, Texas, Feb. 17, 1920 The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas met in called session for the transaction of the business of the City with Mayor J. B. Marlow presiding and the following officers present: Alderman J.M. McFall, Alderman W. Curlee, Alderman J. F. Reed, and City Clerk Geo. W. • Thorburn. Moved by Alderman Reed that Reid & Costly be permitted to use 15 feet of Ohio Avenue for building a shed for storing materials for con- struction of the Kemp & Culbertson Building, which motion was seconded by Alderman McFall and carried. Moved by Alderman Reed that Reid & Costley be permitted to se 15 feet of Burnett Street on Northeast corner of Burnett and Tent for building a sehd and storing material for construction of the Che ult Building, which motion was seconded by Alderman McFall and carried. Moved by Alderman Curlee that a deed be issued by the City to Kemp & Kell for "Lot or parcel of land in Wichita County, Texas, being Twenty-five (25) feet of land lying immediately North of Lot No. Twenty-two (22) in Block No. Ninety-one (91) facing Twenty-five (25) feet on Indiana Avenue running back one hundred and fifty (150) feet to an alley." The same to be in exchange for a deed made by Kemp and Kell to the City of the following "Lot or parcel of land, being Lot No. Fifteen (15) in Block No. Ninety-one (91) of the Original Town of Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, which motion was seconded by Alderman McFall and carried Moved by Alderman Reed that the bill submitted by S. B. Allard for fixing windows, etc. in City Jail be paid as per scale of the Union, which motion was seconded by Alderman Curlee and carried. Moved by Alderman McFall that the City purchase "Tract or parcel of land situated in Wichita County, being all of what is known as Angle Block Thirty-seven (37) of the Jalonick Addition the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, said Block being located on the side of Seventeenth Street with Holliday Street on the East side and Archer Road on the West side*" and that the price to be paid for same shall be Twenty Two Hundred ($2200.00) Dollars, and the City Clerk be authorized to issue warrant for same when the City Attorney declares title to be clear, which motion was seconded by Alderman Curlee and carried.
