The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita
Falls, Texas met in regular session on the above
date to transact the business of the City with
Mayor J. B. Marlow presiding and the following offi-
cers present: Aldermen, Bondy, Curlee and Reed and
City Clerk Thorburm.
Moved by Alderman Curlee that the Y. W. C. A. be
permitted to build a 30 inch stairway in the Alley at
Elks Club which motion was seconded by Alderman
Bundjr and carried.
Moved by Alderman Curlee that the residents on a r �
20th Street and Sibley Avenue be permitted to lay a &e-v
two inch water line from Main at Bluff Street on same
conditions as granted other residentsxof Sibley Taylorx
Addition which motion was seconded by Alderman Bundy
and carried.
Moved by Alderman Bundy that the City Tax Col-
lectors bill for :200.05 for commission on Sewer col-
lections be approved and paid which motion was secon-
ded by Alderman Curlee and carried.
Moved by Alderman Bundy that George W. Thorburm
City Clerk be allowed extra pay during the time he
had no assistant for an amount equal to the salary of
the assistant for the said time viz $100.00per month
from February 16th to April 6th inclusive, which
motion was seconded by Alderman Curlee and carried.
Moved by Alderman Curlee that the recommendation
by the Mayor that the salaries of the City Clerk
Fire Chief, Assistant Police Commissions and Street
Suprentendent be raised to $300.00 per month, be
accepted, but that no definite action for same be
taken until new officers are installed which motion
was seconded by Alderman Bundy and carried.
Moved by Alderman Reed that-the Plat and Map
of Clifts Re-subdivision of Block No. 1 Bellev$e
Addition submitted to Council be anvroved and ac-
cented provided that all the nroperty owners have
signed same which motion was seconded by Alderman
Curlee and carried.
ORDINANCE 281.
"An Ordinance requiring certain premises to be
connected with the Sanitary Sewer; stating require-
ments for the use of dry toilets and prescribing
a penalty " was on motion by Alderman Curlee,
seconded by Alderman Bundy put on it's second read-
ing by the following yea and nay vote; Alderman
Reed, yea Alderman Bundy yea Alderman Curlee yea,
Mayor Marlow khan declared ordinance 281 passed on •
it's second reading by all the Aldermen voting yea.
The Board of Aldermen upon motion duly made and
seconded proceeded to examine and canvass the result
of the Election held on to-wit: the 6th day of
April A. D. 1920 at the usual polling places in the
City of Wichita calls for the purpose of electing a
Mayor and three Aldermen; said returns were there upon
duly opened,examined and canvassed and showed the fol-
lowing results:

Thereupon motion was duly made by Alderman Reed
and seconded by Alderman Curlee that the canvass of
the result of said Election showed for the election of
W. D. Cline for Mayor and W. S. Curlee, M. #. Bundy
and W. N. Bonner for Aldermen by the qualified voters
at said election. Said motion was then submitted to
the Yea and Nay vote of the Board of Aldermen and
unanimously carried by the following vote to-wit:
Alderman Reed yea
Alderman Bundy yPa
Alderman Curlee yea
All of the Aldermen voting yea, Mayor Marlow
then declared that W. D. Cline was elected Mayor,
M. A. Bundy, W. S. Curlee and W. N. Bonner elected
for Aldermen by the qulaified voters at said election.
The Board of Aldermen then recessed until Monday
April 12th. 1920.
At 8 P. M. on Monday the Board of Aldermen with
J. B. Marlow Mayor presiding reconvened, the following
officers being presents

Alderman Reed.
and the Mayor proceeded to administer the oath of
office to:

W. S. Curlee
M. A. Bundy
Mayor-elect W. D. Cline not being present J. B. Marlow
still acting as Mayor appointed Alderman Reed as Bhair-
man and moved that the salaries of City Clerk, Chief of
Fire Department, Street Suprentendent and City Tax
Assesr and Collector be raised to three hundred dollars
per month and City Attorney to Two hundred and fifty per
month which motion was seconded by Alderman Bundy and
carried.
Moved by J. B. Marlow that salary of City Judge be
raised to One hundred and twenty five dollars per month
which motion was seconded by Alderman Bonner and carried.
Moved by J. B. Marlow that the salary of the Desk
Sargent be raised to two hundred dollars per month
which motion was seconded by Alderman Bundy and carried.

ORDINANCE 28E.
An Ordinance fixing the salaries of the Mayor and
Aldermen was a motion of J. B. Marlow seconded by Alderman
Curlee and placed on it's first Reading by the following
yea and nay vote:

II IT Bundy Yea.
Mayor Protem Reed then declared Ordinance 282 passed on it's
first reading by all the Aldermen voting Yea.
J. B. Marlow then resumed the chair and appointed the
following committees:

Motion was then made by Alderman Bundy and seconded by
Alderman Curlee that the thanks and deep appreciation of the
work of J. B. Marlow as Mt.yor be extended to him, which motion
was unanimously carried.
The three newly elected Aldermen then drew lots for
position on Council and W. S. Curlee and W. N. Bonner drew
two year terms and A. Bundy the one year term.
Council then resessed until 9 A. M. Tuesday until April
13th, 1920.
At Nine A. M. on Tuesday the 13, 1920 the Board of
Aldermen again convened with Mayor Marlow presiding and
Aldermen Curlee, Bundy, and Bonner.
Mayor Marlow then proceeded to administer the Oath
of Office to W. D. Cline the Mayor-Elect, who then took the
Chair as Presiding Officer.
The Board of Aldermen then went into Executive session
to consider those matters authorized by the Charter to be
disc7ssed in executive session, At 12 P. M. the council
recessed for lunc-b. At 1 O'clock they again went into
'executive session. At 4 P. M. tiey recessed until Wednesday at
8A. M.
At S A. M. They again went into e ecitive session and
then went out of executive session. Officers present were
Mayor Cline rresiding, and Aldermen McFall, Reed, Carlee,
Bundy and Bonner.
Moved by Alderman Curlee that as Pitts had failed to
make necessary Bond_ for building Blew Fire Station that the
Contract be awarded to Bialouski whose Contract was sub-
mitted by Architect Volker and showed a cost of CA2772.00)
which motion wasceeconded By Alderman Bundy and carried.
Moved by Alderman McFall that the following appointments
be made and approved:
Robert Goodfellow Chief Police N4000.00 Yr.

with duty of collecting sewer tax.

Permission was then granted to Mayor Cline and
