Min 06/17/1920 0 JUNE 17th, 1 9 2 0. The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in regular session for the transaction of the business of the City, with Mayor Pro-tem W.S. Curlee presiding, and Aldermen Bonner, McDowell, Bralley, and City Clerk Thorburn in attendance. ORDINANCE NO. 292. AN ORDINANCE RARING IT UNLAWFUL FOR ANY PERSON, OR PERSONS TO PARI ANY MOTOR VEHICLE FOR MORE THAN ONE HOUR BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8 A.M. AND 6 P.M. ON THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED STREETS IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS', TEXAS, to-wit: BEGINNING AT THE RIGHT OF WAY OF THE F.W. & D.C. R.R. CO. WHERE SAME INTERSECTS WITH SEVENTH AND EIGHTH STREETS, THENCE ALONG SAID STREETS TO WHERE SAID STREETS INTERSECT WITH ALLEY EAST OF LAMAR, AND ON NINTH STREET WHERE SAME INTERSECTS WITH OHIO AVENUE, THENCE DOWN SAID NINTH STREET WHERE SAME INTERSECTS WITH ALLEY EAST OF LAMAR STREET AND PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY. was on motion of Alderman McDowell, seconded by Alderman Bralley, aai.placed on its first reading by the following yea and nay vote: Alderman Bonner yea McDowell yea Bralley yea Mayor Pro-tem W.S. Curlee then declared Ordinance 4292 passed on its first reading by all the Aldermen present voting yea. Moved by Alderman Bonner that the petition i filed with Council to pave on Tenth Street from end of present paving to West line of Tilden, thence on Tilden to Ave. E., be filed and approved and that the City Engineer be instructed to furnish specifications and the City Attorney be instructed to make out contract and arrange necessary bond whioh motion was seconded by Alderman McDowell and carried. AN ORDINANCE MAKING IT UNLAWFUL TO PARK OR LEAVE STANDING ANY MOTOR VEHICLES IN THE ALLEYS WITHIN THE FIRE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AND PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY. was on motion of Alderman Bonner, seconded by Alderman Bralley, A1ad`placed on its third and final reading by the following yea and nay vote: Alderman Bonner yea 't Bralley yea " McDowell yea Mayor Pro-tem W.S. Curlee then declared Ordinance # 289 passed as read on its third and final reading by all of the Aldermen present voting yea. Moved by Alderman Bralley that Ordinance # 289 be adopt- ed "as read" which motion was seconded by Alderman Bonner, and carried. ORDINANCE # 290 AN ORDINANCE MAKING IT UNLAW?DL TO FALSELY REGISTES AS HUSBAND AND WIFE, AND PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY was on motion of Alderman Bralley, seconded by Alderman Bonner, '/R'placed on its(thi.r. and final reading by the following yea and nay votes: Alderman Bonner yea Bralley yea McDowell yea Mayor Pro-tem W.S. Curlee then declared Ordinance # 290 passed as read on its third and final reading by all of the Alderman present voting yea. Moved by Alderman Bralley that Ordinance # 290 be adopt- ed "as read" which motion was seconded by Alderman Bonner and carried. Moved by Alderman Bonner that the bills presented by Mecca Cafe No.2 , for "Peed for Prisoners" amounting to $132.50, and the bill presented by C.C. Willard far "Remodeling the Fire Department" amounting to $3,139.75, be paid by the City Clerk, which motion was seconded by Alderman McDowell, and car- ried. 4� Moved by Alderman Bonner that the trade made by W.S. Curlee, with J.B. Marlow to-wit: "That the City retain the blank horses now in use by the City, and that J.B. Marlow be given in exchange, one team of small, old., and decrepit mules and three hundred dollars in cash" be confirmed and ratified, which motion was seconded. by Alderman Mc➢owell and carried.
