Min 07/08/1920 • July 8, 1920. The Board of Adlermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas met in regular session of the above date for the transaction of the b,_siness of the City, with Mayor Pro-ten W.S. Curlee pre- siding, and Aldermen Bonner, McDowell, Bralley, and City Clerk Thorburn in attendance. Moved by Alderman Bonner that the W.W. Company be allowed to install a Gasoline Pilling Station at 811 Tenth Street under the following provisions to-wit: That the said W.W. Company, their successors and assigns, legal representatives, and administrators hold the City harmless from any damages that may arise from the installation and operation of said filling station, and that installation be made under the supervision of the City Engineer, and that same be moved on request by City Council. which motion was seconded by Alderman Bralley and carried. Moved by Alderman Bralley that the following bills presented by I.H. Roberts be paid when properly O.K.'d by heads of Departments: Cement work at Fire Station 17th & Holliday 1006.50 ✓9 loads chat rock 94.8b 2 street crossings & 8 waterways 486.85 Cement work at Gasoline pump, City Hall 12.00 2 dozen shovels & 1 dozen handles 53.85 Cement work library steps 21.00 Maintenance pavement ease valley track 50.00 1024 tons chat rook 562.40 which motion was seconded by Alderman McDowell and car- ried. Moved by Alderman Bralley that the Mayor appoint a special Committee to inspect the Gasoline Stations in the City with a view of removing some of them which motion was seconded by Alderman Bonner and carried. Moved by Alderman McDowell that the Mayor appoint'W g. Bonner, Julian Montgomery, and F.N. Lawton as a committee to investi- gate the water pressure and report back to the Council, which motion was seconded by Alderman Bralley and parried. Moved by Alderman McDowell that Alderman Bonner be Mayor- Pro-tem during the absence of Mayor W.D. Cline, and Alderman W.S. Curlee, which motion was seconded by Alderman Bralley and carried. ORDINANCE # 293 An ordinance granting the right, priviledge and granchise to the Interstate Pipe Company to lay, build, construct and operate and maintain a spur track from the main line of the M.K.& T. Railway Com any diagonally across Washington Street, and over and along the Eas�s±de of Missouri Street from its intersection with Washington Street to the South line of Jefferson Street, and maintain same far ten years, was on motion of Alderman McDowell, seconded by Alderman Bonner placed on its first reading by the following yea and nay vote; Alderman McDowell yea Bralley yea Bonner yea Mayor Pro-tem W.S. Curlee then declared Ordinance # 293 passed on its first reading by all of the Aldermen present voting yea. The Board of Aldermen then adjourned. Ao�t Read and approved this the ` day of July, 1920.
