The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
met in regular session on the above date with the following present:-

Moved by Alderman Shepherd that the fire chtlef be requested
to take whatever steps are necessary to obtain the six (6) cent reduction on
the key rate due to the fact that the stand pipe is no longer used and that
direct pressure is kept up by engines recently installed. ,
Motion seconded by Alderman Stayton and carried.

Moved by Alderman Clifford that the City Treasurer be auth-
orized to make certain transfers on the city books as shown on Ehhedule K of .
the audit rendered by Ira Harris, so as to bring the balances of the City books
to correspond with the balances as shown in aforesaid report.
Motion seconded by Alderman Stayton and carried.

Moved by Alderman Clifford that the bond of A. M. Miller
.former City Treasurer be cancelled whenever all bonds and securities owned
by the City are delivered to the present City Treasurer.

ORDINANCE 417
"AN ORDINANCE LEVYING, ASSESSING AND FIXING THE RATE OF
TAXATION IN TEE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS FOR THE YEAR A. D. 1922 AND
ALSO LEVYING AN OCCUPATION TAX ON ALL OCCUPATIONS TAXABLE UNDER THE LAWS OF
THE STATE OF TEXAS AND THE CHARTER AND ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY".
Was on motion of Alderman Reed seconded by Alderman Clifford
placed on its first reading and passed by the following vote:-
Yeas: Reed, Stayton , Clifford.
Hayes: None.

ized to issueA warrant for 4583.50 being 10% of delinquent taxes collected by
him in June and July.
