Min 09/11/1922 Morgan Building Wichita Falls, Texas. September 11,1922. The Board of aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in regular session on the above date with the following present:- Frank Collier, Mayor R. E. Shepherd i J. B. Fitts N; M. Clifford I Aldermen J. F. Reed 4 W. E. MoBroom, Acting City Clerk E. M. Mann, City Attorney. ############/ Moved by Alderman Shepherd that the City Clerk be instructed to notify property owaers of a public hearing to be held on September 25th, 1922 on proposed business buildings and businesses to be established in the residence district; the Board of Aldermen having seen fit to have such a hearing after examining applications for the establishments of the following- businesses which were filed in accordance with Ordinance No. 419. Grocery Store & Confectionery at 200, Second Street Barber shop on Lot 1 Block 11, Sibley Taylor Addition. Skating rink at 109 Park Street Motion seconded byAlder�m��a�n Fitts and carried. A, ORDINANCE., 418 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTIONS NOS. ONE AND SEVEN OF ORDINANCE NO.349,ENTITLE"AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE OF SIGN S OVER THE STREETS, SIDEWALKS AND ALLEYS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AND PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY", PASSED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN ON THE 27TH DAY OF JUNE A. D. 1921, SO AS TO HEREAFTER READ AS FOLLOWS, TO-WIT: Was on motion of Alderman Fitts seconded by Alderman Shepherd placed on its third and final reading and pa seed by the following vote:- Yeas: Shepherd, Reed, Fitts, Clifford. Bayes: None. ############# Moved by Alderman Fitts that Lou Jennie be paid $12.00 for an iron fence moved from the cemetery to the Incinerator by Park Commissioner Reed. Motion seconded by Alderman Stayton and carried. ############# E. H. Cunningham appeared before the Council requesting per- mission to pave the curb between the pavement and sidewalk in front of his building near the corner of Tenth and van Buren Streets and the matter was referred to Alderman Clifford with authority to work out as he saw fit. ################## Alderman Reed was authorized to set aside a certain number of Bemetery lots for sale in quarter sections, all apace in each lot be sold before another lot is quartered. ################ Moved by Alderman Shepherd that H. H. Cotner be granted a two weeks vacation and M. A. Ellis be appointed act as City Treasurer during the absence of Mr. Cotner. Motion seconded by Alderman Clifford and carried.
