The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met
in regular session on the above date with the following present:

Moved by Alderman Clifford that the petition for the
erection of a brick and tile filling station to be located on Lot I,
Block 36 original tewnsite, being the South west corner of Arkansas
and Jefferson streets, and a public hearing be ordered on October 16,
1922 for the purpose of hearing all complaints in connection therewith.
Motion seconded by Alderman Stayton and carried.

Moved by Alderman Fitts that a permit be granted to
Oscar McMillian and Son for the operation of a grocery store at the
corner of 3rd and Lamar streets with the usual provisions.
motion seconded and carried.

lution be passed.
Motion seconded by Alderman Clifford and carried
by the following vote.
Yeas: Shepherd, Stayton, Clifford, Fitts, need.

aESOLUTION
Whereas, General Fund Warrant No. 23637 dated May 1,
1922 in favor of Pay Roll Account for labor was listed in Ordinance
No. 413 as i6784.34 when it should have been 6748.34 and that said
warrant has been paid as ?6748.34:-
Whereas, Sewer Fund Viarrant No. 23827 dated May 17, 1922
in favor of Pay Roll Account for labor was listed in 'Ordinance No. 413
as f875.00, when it should have been listed as gl575.00 making an excess
of cash provided in said Ordinance over and above actual amount of said
warrants: in the amount of 336.00 and
Be it resolved b the Board of Aldermen that the follow-
ing unpaid outstanding warrants l e added to the list outlined in Ordinance
No. 413 to correct the erroneous listing of warrants numbered 23637 and
23827 mentioned above:

ORDINANCE NO. 420
AN ORDINANCE REGULATING AUTOMOTIVE TRAFFIC ON THE STREETS
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, PROVIDING A STANDARD CODE OF SIGNALS
THEREFOR AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.
Was on motion of Alderman Shepherd seconded by Alderman
gtayton placed on its second reading and passed by the following vote:
Yeas: Shepherd, Stayton, Fitts, Clifford, Reed.
Nayes: None
Moved by Alderman Shepherd that the resignation of Geo. W.
Thorburn as City Clerk be accepted and the Mayor be requested to write
Mr. Thorburn a letter expressing the appreciation of the council for the
faithful services performed him.
Motion seconded by Alderman Clifford and carried.

Moved by Alderman Clifford that Dosch Electric Co. be
allowed a warrant for 150.00, provided that the remaining balance of
contract be enough to cover delinquent taxes due the city.
Motion seconded by Alderman Shepherd and carried.

Moved by Alderman Shepherd that the onntraetan making
repairs on the Kress Building be allowed to use a part of the alley
for temporary storage of material.
Motion seconded by Alderman Clifford and carried.
