THE Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, met in
regular session oji the above date with the following present:-

No Protests being heard on the application of Cudd Brothers
for the building and installation of a drive in filling station located on Lot
1, Block 36 of the original townsite the following motion was put in order:-
Moved by Alderman Clifford that Cudd & Brothers be allowed to
build and install and operate a gasoline filling station on Lot 1, Block 36 of
the original townsite under the usual provisions to-wit:
That the said Cudd B.'Dthere, their successors, administrators,
assigns, and legal representatives shall hold the City of Wichita Falls, harmless
from any damages that may arise from the operation of said filling station that
the installation of said station be made under the supervision of the City Eng-
ineer, and that they will cease to operate said filling station when so ordered
by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas.
Motion seconded by Alderman Fitts and carried.

Moved by Alderman Stayton that City Attorney Mann be author-
ized to settle with the legal representatives of D. 4, and Hoy Brundage for a con
sideration of 4400.00 being the City's pro rata share of the proceeds from for-
ced sale of the property against which our paving note in the amount of j450.00
applied, and that the iayor be authorized to release our lien on this property.

Moved by Alderman Stayton that the Year 1920 taxes in the
amount of 4174.00 be refunded on Lot 11, Block 184 account of double payment
to the following:-
W. F. George----$74.00
Security Nat'l Bank---$100.00
Motion seconded by Alderman Heed and carried.

and labor furnished the Wichita General Hospital be allowed.

return to-the Corporation Court the following cash bonds transmitted to him by the
Clerk of Corporation Court:-

Moved by Alderman Fitts that IJI J. Anderson be instructed
to execute a surety bond in amount of 00,000.00 to cover faithful performance
of the duties of Tax Assessor and Collector and that the City pay the premium
for such bond.
Motion seconded by Alderman Shepherd and carried.

Moved by Alderman Fitts that the City pap one half of the
orating over-draft of the Wichita General Hospital after the account has been
audited, amount of such over-draft being 3,410.80 accruing since June 30,1922.
Motion seconded by Alderman Shepherd, and carried.

Moved by Alderman Reed that Commissioner Fitts be allowed
to purchase two new ford cars for use of the Police Department and that the old
cars be put in as part payment for a consideration of 300.Q0, the balance to
be paid by J. B. Pitts and the Mayor be authorized to 3apeAsia months note for
this amount.
Motion seconded by Alderman Shepherd, and carried.

Moved by Alderman Shepherd that Fire Chief McClure be auth-
orized to purchase Lot 2; Block 91 in the Floral Heights Addition for a con-
sideration of 000.00 and that in consideration of the Fire Chief paying cash
therefor the Mayo), be authorized to execute a note to J. L. McClure,for 700.00
payable May 15th 1928.
