Moved by Alderman Fitts that E. B. Bailey agent for Mrs.
Jessie Moore be granted permission to erect a brick building to be used for
the operation of a grocery store at 1921 Tenth Street under the usual provisions
to-wit:-
That the said E. B. Bailey his successors, assigns, and legal
representatives shall hold the City of Wichita Falls, harmless from any damages
that may arise from the building of said brick building and operation of said
grocery store and that the construction of sidewalks and approach be under the
supervision of Street Commissioner Clifford, and that the operation of said
grocery store will cease when so ordered by the Board of Aldermen of the City of
Wichita Falls, Texas.
Motion seconded by Alderman Stayton and carried.

Moved by Alderman Stayton that Luther Hoffman be appointed
recorder of the corporation court and that Joe Hatchitt be appointed special
prosecutor effective November let, 1922.
Motion seconded by Alderman Reed and carried.

Moved by Alderman Clifford that the Mayor be authorized to
transfer to the Wichita Falls Building and Loan Association our first lien
securing payment of a note dated February 27,1920 being part payment of old
Fire Station Building located on the corner of Tenth and Van Buren Streets,
in consideration of the payment of $3,000.00 and a vendor note for $1100.00
being the balance due on said note.
Motion seconded by Alderman Stayton and carried.

6:30 P. M. October 24th 1922.

Moved by Alderman Stayton that the City Clerk be authorized
to draw and Mayor be authorized to sign two time warrants payable 1250.00 on
April 10, 1923, and 0.250.00 April 10,1924, being payment for Lots 3 and 4 Roy
Taylor Sub-division of the J. A. Scott survey of Section 10. Said warrants to
be payable-to Jas R. Welch and Birdie R. Alexander.

Moved by Alderman Fitts that the matter of paving the Block
bn Sixth $treetebet*een Indiana and Scott Streett be referred to Commissioner
Clifford for investigation and recommendation.

Moved by Alderman Fitts that the agreement between Commiss-
ioner Clifford and the Wichita Falls Traction -Co., as to the paving of the
Street car tracks on Sixth and Eighth Streets be ratified and approved.
Motion seconded by Alderman Stayton and carried.
