Min 11/27/1922 Wichita Falls, Texas Morgan Building November 27th 1922. The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, met in regular session on the above date with the following present:- Prank Collier, Mayor R. A. Shepherd Burton Stayton N. M. Mann, City Attorney The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. #######MV######### Moved by alderman Fitts that the Dixie Tire Service be granted permission to install two gasoline filling stations on the curb of the building located at the South- est corner of Eighth and Travis streets under the usual provisions, to-wit:- That the Dixie Tire Service, their successors, administra- tors, assigns, and legal representatives shall hold the City of Wichita Falls, harmless from any damages that may arise from the operation of said filling stations and that the installation of said filling stations be made under the supervision of the City Engineer, and that they will cease to operate said filling stations when so ordered by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wich- ita Falls, Texas. It is further ordered that the cement construction be done under the direction of Street Commissioner Clifford. Motion seconded by Alderman Stayton and- carried. ######################`;r Newt Maer made a request for a refund of certain sewer construction cost and was referred to the City Clerk for an examination of the records. #####H############### ORDINANCE 423 AN ORDINANCE TO A!END AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE FOR TEE LICENSING AND REGULATION OF AUTOMOBILES FOR HIRE AND PROVIDING PENAL- TIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY" AND BEING ORDINANCE E0.331, WHICH WAS PASSED AND APPROVED ON THEE TH DAY OF NOVELRER 1920 BY THE BOARD OF ALDEPICED OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, BY ADDING TO SAID ORDINANCE SECTION 4-A, WHICH ADDED SECTION PROVIDES THAT IT SHALL BE UNLAWFUL FOR ANY PERSON, FIRM OR CORPORATION TO USE ANY STAND OR LOCATION ON ANY STREET OR ALLEY IN SAID CITY WITHIN THE FIRE LIMITS OF SAID CITY FOR ANY AUTOMOBILE FOR MIRRE WHILE NOT IN ACTUAL SERVICE AND PROVIDING FOR A REFUND OF ANY LICENSE FEE HERE- TOFORE PAID. Whitham be allowed to re- pair the Street pavement at the corner of Ninth and Denver and that such re- pairs be paid out of the Paskins maintainance fund. Motion seconded by Alderman Fitts and carried. • ################## Moved by Alderman Stayton that A. H. Britian be appointed recorder of the corporation court and that Geo. Smoot Jr. be appointed special prosecutor of the Corporation Court for the month of December 1922. Motion seconded by Alderman Clifford and carried. ################# Moved by alderman Clifford that Commissioner Fitts be in- structed to see that a fence is placed around the Lyle Wyatt property on the corner of Seventh and Lamar Streets. Motion seconded by Alderman Reed and carried. ###W######W ORDINANCE 424 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTIONS NO. 4,9,10,11,12,13,16,17,20, 22,31,41,43, and 460F ORDINANCE NO.340 ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE CHEATING THE EX- .HTNING AND SUPERVISING BOARD OF PLUMBERS, DESIGNATING THE ME iERS THEREOF AND DESCRIBING TTHEIR POWER AND DUTIES AND TERM OF OFFICE, PROVIDING FOR THE LICEN- . Harris covering the fiscal year ending March 31,1922 be approved and the City Clerk and Treasurer be authorized and instructed to make the necessary adjustment entries outlined therein.
