Min 12/18/1922 Wichita Falls, Texas December 18th, 1922 Basement Morgan Building. The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, met in reg- ular session on the above date with the following present: Frank Collier, Mayor R. E. Shepherd ) B. A. Stayton ) J. B. Mann, City Attorney ########r############## Moved by Alderman Reed that a sewer line be constructed to the Carrigan School, provided that the school board advance the City the Coat of Construction with the understanding that the 'school board be re- imbursed such cost within one year from date the line is completed. Motion seconded by Alderman Fitts and carried ##################### Moved by Alderman Fitts that F. P. Potter be allowed to install a drive in filling station on the. alley between Scott and Lamar on Seventh Street under the usual provisions, to-wit: That the said F—P. Potter,, hie successors, administrators, assigns, and legal representatives shall hold the City of Wichita Falls, harmless from any damages that may arise from the operation of said fill-. ing station and that the installation of said filling station be made under the supervision of the City Engineer, and that they will cease to operate said filling stations when so ordered by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas. Motion seconded by Alderman Shepherd and carried. #################### Moved by Alderman Shepherd that the taxes for the year 1900 as- sessed against W. C. Sherrod in the amount of $3.90 on Lot 2 of Block 234 Original Townaite be cancelled. Motion seconded by Clifford and carried. #################### Moved by Alderman Fitts that the taxes paid by K. E. Bauch under protest in the amount of $18.90 be refunded when an affidavit supporting • his claim has been filed with the City Clerk. Motion seconded by Alderman Clifford and carried. #################### Moved by Alderman Fitts that Ordinance No. 424 be passed on its third and final reading which motion was seconded by Alderman Shepherd and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Shepherd, Fitts, Clifford, Stayton, Reed Nayes: None ORDINANCE 424 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTIONS NO. 4, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 16, 17, 20, 22, 31, 41, 43 and 46 OF ORDINANCE NO. 340. ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE EXAMINING AND SUPERVISING BOARD OF PLUMBERS DESIGNATING THE • MEMBERS THEREOF, AND PRESCRIBING THEIR POWER AND DUTIES AND TERM OF OFFICE, PROVIDING FOR THE LICENSING OF PLUMBERS, AND THE GIVING OF INDEMNITY BONDS BY PERSONS, FIRMS, OR CORPORATIONS, ENGAGED IN THE BUSINESS OF PLUMBING IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AND SETTING FORTH THE RULES, REGULATIONS, MANNER AND WAY IN WHICH PLUMBING WORK SHALL BE DONE, THE KIND AND CLASS OF MATERIALS TO BE USED IN SUCH WORK, THE INSPECTION OF PLUMBINY& AND ALSO SCALE OF FEES FOR SUCH INSPECTIONS: DEFINING THE POWER AND DUTIES OF THE CITY ENGINEER AND INSPECTOR OF PLUMBING, AND REQUIRING PERMITS FOR CERTAIN KINDS OF PLUMBING DRAINAGE, AND COMPELLING BUILDINGS UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS TO BE CONNECTED WITH SANITARY SEWERS, PROHIBITING THE THROWING Q' WASTES, GAR- BAGE ETC., INTO THE SEWER SYSTEM, AND THE INJURY OF THE SYSTEM IN ANY MAN- NER, AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF ANY OF THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ACT, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CON- FLICT ''ITH SAME.
