The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, met
in joint session with the Commissioners Court of Wichita County, Texas, at the
Court House on the above date for the purpose of appointing a Board of Managers
for the Wichita General Hospital with the following present:

Moved by Alderman Shepherd that B. D. Sartin be elected _
Chairman of the Meeting.
Motion seconded by Mayor Collier and carried.
After much discussion relative to the financing and manage-
ment of the General'Hospital, the following motion was put in order:
Moved by Alderman Clifford that the Board of Managers of
the Hospital be requested to file an estimate of their financial requirements for
the ensuing year, and that said estimate be furnished in duplicate, one copy to be
filed with the Commissioners Court and one with the Board of Aldermen.
Motion seconded by Commissioner Kuntz and carried.

The matter of appointing a new Board of Managers was dis-
cussed and after referring to the State Laws governing the operation of County Hos-
pital:y,it providing for the appointment of five members, two of which must be phy-
• sicianSand one a woman, it was decided that the Board of Aldermen appoint two mem-
bers and the Commissioners appoint two members and the combined bodies appoint the
fifth member.
The Board of Aldermen then withdrew and upon motion of
Alderman Shepherd seconded by Alderman Clifford, Dr. Q. B. Lee and Dr. M. M. Walker
were appointed as members of the Board of Managers of the Wichita General Hospital
for a term of two years dating from January 1, 1923.
The Board of Aldermen then went back into joint session
with the Commissioners Court and it was announced by B. D. Sartin that the Commis-
sioners Court had appointed Drs. F. D. Shepherd and J. F. Clark as members of the Hos-
pital Board whereupon the following motion was put in order: '
Moved by Alderman Shepherd that Mrs. B. L. Fain be appointed
a member of the Board of Managers of the Wichita General Hospital:
Motion seconded by Alderman Fitts end carried.

Moved by Alderman Stayton that this body confirm the appoint-
ment of the following persons as members of the Board of Managers of the Wichita Gen-
eral Hospital for a period of two years, dating from January 1, 1923.

Moved by Commissioner Kuntz that the Board of Managers be
required to furnish the Commissioners Court and the Board of Aldermen a montly
statement showing in detail their financial transactions for each and every month.
Motion seconded by Alderman Stayton and carried.
The joint session then adjourned.
