W. S. Curlee and g. B. Chauncy appeared before the council
at:Xing the City to pay for a portion of a sewer line to a new addition they
are opening up. After discussion the council decli:. ed to pay any of the ori-

'loved by Alderman Shepherd that Wylie Wyatt be granted per-
mission to install and operate a filling station near the corner of the alley
•J between Lamar and Scott Streets under the usual provisions to-wit:
That the said Wylie Wyatt, his successors, administrators,
assigns, and, legal representatives shall hold the City of Wichita Balls,
harmless from any damages that may arise from the operation of said filling
station and that the installation of said filling station be made under the
supervision of the City -ngineer, and that they will cease to oflerate said
filling: station when so ordered by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita
Falls, Texas.

istrators, assigns, and legal representatives shall hold the City of ':lichita
Falls, harmless from any damages t-at may arise from the operation of said
filling station and that the installation of said filling station be made under
the supervision of the City Engineer, and that they will cease to operate said
filling station when so ordered by the Board of aldernen of the City of gichita
Falls, Texas.

• CHEREAS, contract in writing between City of Wichita Falls
and Jest Tdxas Construction Company, for the improvement of the followirg
street i- .T.id City, to-wit:
4:ivenue P from its intersection with the East Property Line
of j.ronroe Street to its intersection with the Jest Curb line of Giddings
Street, together with construction bonds and maintenance bonds required there-
by, are this day presented to the Board of Lidermen for adoption and approval;
and,
,r1IEHEAS, the bid of "est Texas Construction Company for the
making and construction of the improvement 7rovided or in the said contracts
has after due advertisement and notice, been made and upon the opening of the
bids said contract was awarded to the said Company; and,
1HEREAS, it is deemed necessary to set aside and, provide for
the payment of all that portion of the cost required in the said contract to
be paid for by the City of Wichita Falls;
Therefore, be it resolved by the Board of Aldermen of the
City of idchita Falls, that there be and is hereby set aside and appropriated
out of the funds available for that purpose, the sum of Jl,907.84 to nay and
defray all that portion of the cost of improving said portion of Avenue F, to
be paid for by the City of .jichita Falls:
The said contract and the construction bend and maintenance
bond, be and the same are hereby approved and adopted, and the Mayor is here-
by authorized to execute and sign the said contract, in the name of the City.
That this resolution shall take effect from and after its
passage.

WIEREAS, contracts in writing between the 'Jest Texas Con-
struction Company and the City of Wichita Falls, for the performing of all
work of excavation in connection ith the improvement of Avenue r, from the
East Property Line of Monroe Street to the West Curb Line of Giddings Street
• and, binding the City of Michita Falls, for the prices named therein, and
upon the terms therein set forth, to do and perform all work of excavation
upon said street, as is provided in the contract, being one contract for said
street, fere this day presented to the Board of 'ildermen for adoption and app-
roval; and,
,A1F=AS, it is deemed advisable to enter into said contracts
upon the terms set forth therein, and for the compensation therein provided,

City of hichita Falls;

That the City of hichita Falls do enter into contracts with
the Jest Texas Construction Company, binding the City to do and perform all
the work of excavation shown in said contract, and on said street, at and for
the prices and for the terms therein stipulated and set forth.
2.
That the said contract is hereby approved and adopted and
the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute and sign the said con-
tract in the name of the City.

in said City, to-wit:
Lucile Street from its intersection with the east curb line
of Brooks Street to its intersection with the West curb line of Lrace Street
together with construction bonds and maintenance bonds, required thereby, are
this day presented to the Board of Lidermen for adoption and approval; and
the bid of Plains Paving Company for the making and
- construction of the Improvements provided for in the said contracts, has after
due advertisement and notice, been made and upon the opening of the bids said
contract was awarddd to the said Company; and
:7HE2EAS, it is deemed necessary to set aside and rrovide for
the payment of all that portion of the cost required in the said contract to
be paid for by the City of iiichita Balls:

otherwise improvinh of Tenth Street from its intersection with the end of the
present pavement at Tilden Street to its intersection with the east curb line
of North Hays Street, has been com:leted by the Plains Paving Company in acc-
ordance with the plans and specifications therefor and the said City Engineer
recommends the acceptance of the said marl: by the City.
POP THE,REFORE BE IT =SOLVED, TT.AT said paving and other imp-
rovements be and the same are hereby accepted by the City of ';:ichita Falls,
Texas, and the liver be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute spe-
cial ssessment Certificates, evidencing the indebtedness of the owners of the
property abutting on said portion of street, in the name of the City of Wich-
ita Fa71s, and the City Cleric is hereby authorized and directed to attest same
and to impress thereon the seal of the City of Wichita Falls, l'exas, and to
deliver said Special Assess ent Certificates to the Tlains Paving Company in
payment, as set forth in the contract for the above named improvements, all in
accordance with the ordinances and resolutions heretofore adopted and passed

flue ''D" Street, has been completed by the Plains Paving Company in accordance
with the Plans and 'specifications thcrefor and the said City Enmineer recommends
the acceptance of the said work by the City.
