The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met
in regular called session on the above date with the following present:

The hearing to property owners with reference to the pavement
of Huff Avenue, Clark, and 13th Street was called.
After hearing the protest of L. A. Allen the following motion
was put in order.
Moved by Alderman Stayton that the hearing.to property owners
on Huff Ave., Clark Ave., and 13th Street be continued until Monday, June 25th,
1923, at 7:30 P. M. in the Basement of the Morgan Building.
Motion seconded by Alderman Shepherd and carried.

Moved by Alderman Young that the bill of C. C. Williard for
repairing the incinerator in the amount of $132.80 be allowed.
Motion seconded by Aldermwn Stayton and carried.

The City Engineer then submitted the following.

Hon. Mayor & Board of Aldermen,
Wichita Falls, Texas,
Gentlemen:-
This certifies that the Plains Paving Company has completed
the paving and otherwise improving of Lucile Street from its intersection with
the east curb line of Brook Street to its intersection with the west curb line
of Grace Street in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor and I
hereby recommend the acceptance of the above described work.

Moved by Alderman Shepherd that the following resolution be
adopted.
Motion seconded by Alderman Stayton and carried by the follow-
ing vote:-
Yeas: Shepherd, Stayton, Patton, Young.
Hayes: None.
RESOLUTION
Be it resolved by the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, That,
Whereas, the City Engineer has certified that the paving and
otherwise improving of Lucile Street from its intersection with the east curb
line of Brook Street to its intersection with the west curb line of Grace Street
has been completed by the Plains Paving Comnany in accordance with the plans
and specifications therefor and the said City Engineer recommends the acceptance
of the said work by the City,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT, said paving and other
improvements bd and the same are hereby accepted by the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas, and the Mayor be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute Spec-
ial Assessment Certificates, evidencing the indebtedness of the owners of the
property abutting on said portion of street, in the name of the City of Wichita
Falls, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to attest same and
to impress thereon the Seal of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and to deliver
said Special Assessment Certificates to the Plains Paving Company in payment,
as set forth in the contract, for the above named improvements, all in accord-
ance with the ordinances and resolutions heretofore adopted and passed by the
City of Wichita falls with reference to the above described improvements.

weeks vacation.

Moved by Alderman Shepherd that the expenses of all city off-
icials who make the trip to Dallas to attend a meeting of cities effected by
the proposed increase in gas rates be paid by the City.
Motion seconded by Alderman Young and carried.
The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
