Resolution Awarding Bid For Demolition, Clearing, Cleaning And
Abatement As Required Of Four Structures To Wilson Contracting
In The Amount Of $19,994.00.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the
demolition of hazardous structures; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on September 6, 2012; and
WHEREAS, these structures have been previously determined by the City
Council to be hazardous and need to be demolished; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to have the four hazardous structures
demolished, and finds that Wilson Contracting is the lowest responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
1 . The bid for demolition, clearing, cleaning and abatement as required of four
hazardous structures is awarded to Wilson Contracting in the amount of $19,994.00,
and City Staff is authorized to execute contracts for demolition with said entity for said
work.
2. If the awarded bidder fails to execute contracts for the demolition as awarded
herein, City Staff are authorized to execute contracts for demolition with the next lowest
bidder(s) for these properties in accordance with the bid specifications.
