Ordinance making an appropriation to the Special Revenue Fund for
HIV/STD-DIS Prevention Services grant funding in the amount of
$299,909 received from the Department of State Health Services and
authorizing the City Manager to execute contract accepting same
WHEREAS, the Department of State Health Services wishes to enhance local
response to prevent and control Sexually Transmitted Diseases; and,
WHEREAS, the approval of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to
the adoption of the 2022 — 2023 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is hereby appropriated in the Special Revenue Fund $299,909 in
special revenue fund for HIV/STD—DIS services and the City Manager is authorized to
execute the contract accepting said grant funding from the State of Texas Department of
State Health Services.
