Resolution appropriating a total of $1,500,000 of American Rescue
Plan (ARPA) funding to support grants to local Nonprofit
Organizations
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has received funding from the American
Rescue Plan; and
WHEREAS, City Council passed a non-binding resolution on June 14, 2022; and
WHEREAS, funding of $1,500,000 was allocated to support grants for local
nonprofit organizations affected by the Covid-19 pandemic; and
WHEREAS, the guidance from the American Rescue Plan Act allows for the
appropriation of these funds, for this purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to appropriate a total of $1,500,000 of
American Rescue Plan (ARPA) Funding to support grants to local Nonprofit
Organizations.
