Resolution appropriating a total of$250,000 of American Rescue Plan
(ARPA) Funding to the Arts Community through the Wichita Falls
Alliance for Arts and Culture in compliance with all federal, state and
local rules and requirements for use of the funds
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has received funding from the American
Rescue Plan; and
WHEREAS, City Council passed a non-binding resolution on June 14, 2022; and
WHEREAS, funding of $250,000 was allocated to support grants to the local Arts
Community affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic; and
WHEREAS, the guidance from the American Rescue Plan Act allows for the
appropriation of these funds, for this purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to appropriate a total of $250,000 of
American Rescue Plan (ARPA) Funding to the Arts Community through the Wichita Falls
Alliance for Arts and Culture to be distributed in compliance with all federal, state and
local rules and regulations for the use of funds.
