The Board of,Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in regular session
on the above date, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., in the Council Room of the Memorial Auditorium Bldg.,
with the following members present:

Moved by Alderman Liepold that the Minutes of the regular meeting held Nov.
14, 1955, and the called meetings held Nov. 17th and 22nd, respectively, be and the
same are hereby approved.

RESOLUTION NO. 281
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls, and Wichita County own and operate jointly
the Wichita General.Hospital, and
WHEREAS, a proposed addition to such hospital is to be started in the near
future, and
WHEREAS, such addition is to be erected on land owned jointly by the said City
of Wichita Falls, and Wichita County, and
WHEREAS, Federal aid in the construction of said addition to said hospital has been
assured,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas, in regular meeting, this 28th day of November, 1955;
THAT the County Judge of Wichita County, Texas, be and,he is hereby authorized
to execute all papers pertaining to constructing and equiping the said new addition in
connection with Federal aid on.the proposed hospital project. It is further understood
and agreed by both parties hereto that such construction and equipment shall be without
cost to the City of Wichita Falls.
Moved by Alderman Reichmuth that Resolution No. 281 be and the same is hereby
adopted and passed as read.

ORDINANCE NO.174
AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FAT.TS, TEXAS, BY
ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS ADJACENT TO THE PRESENT TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, WICHITA COUNTY, TEXAS; ALL OF WHICH ARE FULLY DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. (Singleton Addition — Second Section.)
Moved by Alderman Lam that Ordinance No. 174$be and the same is hereby approved
and passed as read.

Jan. 9, 1956.

authorize payment to De Laval Steam Turbine Company the sum of $56,700, being Estimate No.
41 for Pumping Equipment, and direct the City Clerk to draw a check for the same, payable
out of Water Bond Improv. Fund, Ser. 1955.

the elevated steel tank, and'direct the City Clerk to draw a check for the same, payable out
of the Water Bond Improvement Fund, Ser. 1955.

Moved by Alderman Lam that the Board of Aldermen does hereby approve and authorize
,payment to Hughes Development Co. the sun of $210.58, being the amount due Nov. 18th on a
Sewer Main Contract, dated July 25, 1955, for sewer mains in Faith Village Unit #3, and direct
the City Clerk to draw a check for the same.

Moved by Alderman Lam that the Board of Aldermen does hereby approve the execution
of a deed to the Pentecostal Holiness Church, covering a tract of land situated in Block
1266, Original Townsite of the City of Wichita Falls, more folly described, as follows:
Beginning at the NE corner of said Blk 266, of the Original Townsite of the City of
Wichita Falls;
THENCE S 35° E along the west property line of Broad Street a distance of 200 ft;
THENCE S 55° W 122.2 feet more or less to a point in the east line of the proposed
U.S. Highway 287 Expressway;
THENCE northwesterly following the east line of said proposed U.S. Highway 287
Expressway along a 465.0 foot radius curve 53 feet more or less to the end of said curve;
THENCE continuing along the east line of said proposed U.S. Highway 287 Expressway
North 35°West parallel to and 125.1 feet from the west line of Broad Street a distance of
11.0 feet to a point in the east line of Brook Avenue;
THENCE north along the east line of Brook Avenue 166 feet more or less to the south
line of Third Street;
THENCE N 55° East along the south line of Third Street 23.5 feet more or less to the
place of beginning and containing 0.383 acres more or less;
for a consideration of $3000.00, and to authorize and empower Mayor Lloyd C. Thomas, or the
City Manager, H. A. Thomason, to execute the said deed for and on behalf of the City of
Wichita Falls.

- to advertise for bids for the sale of Lot73, B1k 31, Scotland Addition; the bids to be
opened at the next regular meeting to be held Dec. 12, 1955.

Moved by Alderman Lam that the Board of Aldermen does hereby approve and
authorize real estate tax adjustments Nos. 745 through 807, inclusive, per Schedule
/attached hereto and made a part of the records hereof; further to direct the City Tax
Assessor and Collector to make such adjustments.
Motion seconded by Alderman Reichmuth and carried.
The claim of Jacob Pierce Reagor against the City, for unjustified arrest, false
/imprisonment, etc. as alleged by the said Jacob Pierce Reagor, which claim was filed in
the Office of the City Clerk Oct.11, 1955, was duly presented to the Council, whereupon
the same was referred to the City Attorney for investigation.
