July 14, 1955
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in called session on
the above date, in the Council Room of the Memorial Auditorium Bldg., at 2-45 otclock P.M.,
with the following members present:
Lloyd C. Thomas Mayor
Roy C. Hyatt
W. E. (Bill) Reichmuth 0 Aldermen
Dr. E. Aubrey Cox
Elie E. Lam
Geo. T. Henderson City Clerk
H. A. Thomason City Manager
J. Walter Friberg City Attorney
Mayor Lloyd C. Thomas stated this meeting had been called for the purpose of
considering the curfew imposed by the Military at Sheppard Air Force Base.
Moved by Alderman Reichmuth that an ordinance be drawn setting curfew hours
from 11:00 PM to 4:00 AM Sunday through Friday, and 12:00 PM to 4:00 AM on Saturday.
Motion seconded by Alderman Hyatt and carried unanimously.
ORDINANCE NO. 1731
AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE PRESENCE OF MINORS UNDER THE AGE OF TWENTY (20)
YEARS ON PUBLIC STREETS AND OTHER PLACES BETI4EEN CERTAIN HOURS; DEFINING DUTIES OF
PARENTS OR OTHERS IN CARE OF MINORS; PROVIDING FOR ARREST AND PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS
THEREOF; REPEALING ORDINANCES IN CONFDICT THEREWITH; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
Moved by Alderman Reichmuth that Ordinance No. 1731 be and the same is hereby
approved and passed as read.
Motion seconded by Alderman Hyatt and carried by the following vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Hyatt, Reichmuth, Cox and Lam,
Nays: None.
Moved by Alderman Reichmuth that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Alderman Lam and carried.
The Board of Aldermen then adjourn
