Memorial Auditorium Bldg.
March 16, 1955
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in called session
on the above date, in the Council Room of the Memorial Auditorium Bldg., at 1-30 o'clock
P.M., with the following members present:
Lloyd C. Thomas Mayor
R. P. Willis 0
J. Bailey Meissner 0
Jack L. Hammond Il Aldermen
Elie E. Lam
Gene Liepold II
Geo. T. Henderson City Clerk
H. A. Thomason City Manager
J. Walter Friberg City Attorney
Mayor Lloyd Thomas stated this meeting had been called for the purpose of
considering the bids previously submitted for purchase of pumping equipment for the
Water Department
Moved by Alderman Hammond that the Board of Aldermen award the bid for
pumping equipment for the Water Department to the second lowest bidder, Brigge—
Weaver Machinery Co. at their bid price of $63,197.00, for Alternate Bid No. 1.
Motion seconded by Alderman Lam and lost by the following vote
Yeas: Aldermen Hammond and Lam.
Nays: Aldermen Willis, Meissner and Liepold.
Moved by Alderman Meissner that the Board of Aldermen award the bid for
purchase of pumping equipment for the Water Department to the lowest and best
evaluated bidder, DeLaval Steam Turbine Co., at their bid price of $63,850.00 for
Alternate Bid No. 1.
Motion seconded by Alderman Willis and carried by the following vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Willis, Meissner and Liepold.
Nays: Aldermen Hammond and Lam.
Moved by Alderman Willis that the meeting be adjourned.
