ULUUUTDflF1D5OW'[ i, GROVER C.BUIUNGTON • HENRY D.MASON City national building•Telephone 7153 Wichito Falb, r xer March 15, 1954 Mr. George T. Henderson City Clerk Memorial Auditorium Wichita Falls, Texas Dear Mr. Henderson: With further reference to the transfer of Taxi Cab Permits from the present holders to the Wichita Cab Company and Cowden Cab Company, as referred to in our minutes of March 8, I am pleased to give you the information as developed. The major claim, that of Jewel Green vs. Yellow Cab Company occurred December, 1952. At that time, the Cab Company had on file with you evidence of Public Liability with limits of $5/10,000, being covered with the Century-Lloyds of Houston. This company was, at that time, operating and I was informed by Mr. Saunders Casualty Insurance Commissioner, that they are still in operation. In 'view of the City having accepted this insurance, it was my opinion that the Cab Company had fully complied with regulations governing their holding this permit; but to be on the safe side, I secured a letters which now is our files, dated March 9, 1954 and signed by Mr. J. 0. Sbeton, which states that he will be personally responsible up to $4500 on the accident occurring in December, 1952, as well as another case involving injury to Clifton Drennon in the amount of $100. In view of the above information, I recommend a transfer of these certificates, as far as the items referred to me for investigation are concerned. Yor.,rs very truly, . Henry D. ason HDM:ncg
