Ordinance Amending Section 62-5 Of The Code Of Ordinances Of
The City Of Wichita Falls To Designate The Fraser House Located At
2106 Hiawatha Boulevard As A City Landmark And Providing For
Codification
WHEREAS, the Landmark Commission of the City of Wichita Falls has
recommended that the building (residence) located at 2106 Hiawatha Boulevard,
Wichita Falls, Texas, be designated as a local landmark; and
WHEREAS, the Landmark Commission has deemed that this property is
especially worthy of protection, preservation, and recognition based on its architectural,
historical and cultural significance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
1 . Section 62-5 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Wichita Falls is hereby
amended to add subsection (30) thereto, which will read as follows:
"(30) The Fraser House, located at 2106 Hiawatha Blvd., Wichita Falls, Texas,
further known as Lot 2 and 180 ft. x 222 ft., Abstract 74, Block 1 , Indian
Heights Addition, also commonly known as the Blackwood House."
2. This ordinance amends the Code of Ordinances of the City of Wichita Falls
and is intended to be part of said Code. Accordingly, the provisions of said Section
may be renumbered or relettered to accomplish such intention.
