ORDINANCE REZONING 3119 WINDTHORST ROAD, BLOCK 12, J.M.
BLANKENSHIP SUBDIVISION FROM SINGLE FAMILY-1 TO GENERAL
COMMERCIAL AND AMENDING THE LAND USE PLAN; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended rezoning 3119
Windthorst Road, Block 12, J.M. Blankenship Subdivision from Single Family-2 to
General Commercial Zoning; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, deems that the
proposed rezoning of the area hereafter described, and amending the Comprehensive
Plan to reflect this change, will be in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . The City of Wichita Falls Land Use Plan, an element of the
Comprehensive Plan for the City of Wichita Falls, Texas is hereby amended for 3119
Windthorst Road, Block 12, J.M. Blankenship Subdivision, Wichita Falls, Texas. Said
property is shown on the attached map, incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment
"A." Said property land use designation shall be changed from Low Density Residential
to Commercial.
SECTION 2. Said property being the same as described in Section 1 , and shown
on Attachment "A" of this ordinance, is hereby rezoned from Single Family-1 to General
Commercial zoning.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 4th day of January 2000.
