The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in called
session on the above date, in the Council Room of the Memorial Auditorium Building,
at 7-30 o'clock A.M., with the following members present:

J. Paul Montgomery

Mayor Paulk stated the purpose of this meeting, among other things, to be
the introduction of Ordinance No. 1646.
ORDINANCE N0.1616
AN ORDINANCE FIXING AND DETERMINING RATES AND CHARGES TO BE CHARGED FOR
SALES OF NATURAL GAS TO RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL CONSUMERS WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS
OF WICHITA FALLS, WICHITA COUNTY, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR THE MANNER IN WHICH SUCH
RATES AND CHARGES MAY BE CHANGED AND AMENDED, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS WHICH ARE IN CONFLICT WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE.
Moved by Alderman Mason that Ordinance No. 1646 be introduced and set down
for two public hearings; the first hearing to be held at the next regular meeting to
be held at 8:00 P.M. June 8, 1953, and the second hearing at 8:00 P.M. June 15,
1953.
Motion seconded by Alderman Thomas and carried by the following vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Willis, Thomas, Hammond, Cox, Montgomery and Mason.
Nays: None.
Moved by Alderman Montgomery that the Board of Aldermen grant a 12-month
extension to Roy Brown, for a consideration of $1.25 per acre per year, to that
certain contract entered into by and between the City and Roy Brown June 1, 1951,
covering that certain tract of land at Lake Kickapoo leased for grazing purposes.
Motion seconded by Alderman Willi,: and carried.
Moved by Al illis that the Board of Aldermen approve and ratify the
rappointment by the Ci yt- of eon Deaton, to serve on the Civil Service Commission
Board to fill the unexpired term of A. L. McAlester whose term expires Feb. 24, 1954.
Motion seconded by Alderman Thomas and carried.
Moved by Alderman Mason that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Alderman Thomas and carried.
