Res 44 11/28/1949 715 Wichita Falls, Texas Memorial Auditorium Building November 28, 1949 THE STATE OF TEXAS • COUNTY OF WICHITA • CITY OF WICHITA FALLS • On this the 28th day of November, 1949, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, convened in regular meeting at the regular meeting place, with the following members present, to-wit: Harold Jones Mayor L. H. Abbott J. R. Hay • Lloyd C. Thomas Aldermen Berry Brown roy W. Parish • B. C. Hunter • George T. Henderson City Clerk Frank Wood City Manager Guy McNeeley City Attorney and with the following absent: None, constituting a quorum, at which time the following proceedings were had: Alderman Thomas presented for the consideration of the Board of Aldermen a Resolution. Alderman Thomas made a motion that the Resolution be adopted finally. The motion was seconded by Alderman Hunter. The motion was.carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen Abbott, Ray, Thomas, Brown, Parish and Hunter and Mayor Jones. Nays: None. The resolution as adopted is as follows: RESOLUTION NO. 44 APPOINTING JUDGES AND CLERKS ID ASSIST IN HOLDING OF BOND ELECTION DECEMBER 6, 1949. WHEREAS, heretofore on the 14th day of November, 1949, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls adopted a resolution calling a bond election to be held on the 6th day of December, 1949; and WHEREAS, in said resolution the Presiding Judges were named for each of the twenty-five voting precincts within the City of Wichita Falls; and WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable that additional officials .be appointed to assist said Presiding Judges in holding said election; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE, BOARD CF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS: 1. Moved by Alderman Brown that the Board of Aldermen approve and authorize sale of the A Sc A Taxi dba Continental Lines, Inc., and Safeway Cab Co. to Glenn W. Krottinger dba A & A Taxi and Safeway Cab Co., and further to authorize transfer to the said Glenn W. Krottinger all of the Certificates of Convenience and Necessity previously issued to A & A Taxi and Safeway Cab Co. when and at such time as sufficient insurance coverage is furnished to the City Clerk. Motion seconded by Alderman Parish and carried.
