The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in regular
session on the above date at 7-30 P.M., in the Council Room of the Memorial Audi-
torium Building, with the following members present:

RESOLUTION NO. 105
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALL$
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That an election is hereby called on the 3rd day of April,
A. D. 1951, for the purpose of electing four Aldermen for the City of Wichita
Falls, Texas.
SECTION 2. The places for which Aldermen shall be elected are hereby
designated as Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 5. Aldermen for Places Nos. 1, 2 and 3, shall
serve the City of Wichita Falls for the ensuing two years and until their success-
ors are elected and qualified. Alderman 'for Place No. 5 shall serve the City of
Wichita Falls for the ensuing one year, and until his successor is elected and
qualified.
SECTION 3. The election shall be held in accordance with'the laws of
the State of Texas and the Ordinances and Charter of the City of Wichita Falls,
made and provided in such cases. The said election shall be held within the
City of Wichita Falls, Texas, at the several voting places, and the following
persons are hereby appointed Judges of said election:
All qualified voters who reside inCounty Voting Precinct Nos. 1 and 8
shall vote at the Kitchencraft Southwestern, 1101 Lamar, herein designated as
City Voting Precinct No. 1, with E. P. Nevin as Presiding Judge.
All qualified voters who reside in County Voting Precinct No. 2, shall
vote at the Travis School, herein designated as City Voting Precinct No. 2,
with Mrs C. 0. Simmons as Presiding Judge.
All qualified voters who reside in that portion of County Voting Precinct
No. 3 which lies within the City, shall vote at the Barwise School, herein desig-
nated as City Voting Precinct No. 3, with M. O. Moore as Presiding Judge.
All qualified voters who reside in County Voting Precincts Nos. 4 and 5,
shall vote at the Wichita County Court House, herein designated as City Voting
Precinct No. 4, with L. L. Kuntz as Presiding Judge.
All qualified voters who reside in that portion of County Voting Precinct
No. 6, which lies within theCity, shall vote at Doolen Pharmacy, herein designated
as City Voting Precinct No. 5, with G. W. Pond as Presiding Judge.
All qualified voters who reside in that portion of County Voting Precinct
No. 7, which lies within the City, shall vote at Washington School, herein designa-
ted as City Voting Precinct No. 6, with A. E. Holland as Presiding Judge.
All qualified voters who reside in County Voting Precinct No. 9, shall vote
at Kemp Public Library, herein designated as City Voting Precinct No. 7, with
Mrs E. D. Trevathan as Presiding Judge.
All qualified voters who reside in County Voting Precinct No. 10,'shall vote
at Jno Oechsner Electric Co. herein designated as City Voting Precinct No. 8,
with J. M. Baber as Presiding Judge.
All qualified voters who reside in County Voting Precinct No. 11, shall vote
at Reagan School, herein designated as City Voting Precinct No. 9, with Roscoe
Staten as Presiding Judge.
All qualified voters who reside in County Voting Precinct No. 12, shall vote
at 17th St. Fire Station, herein designated as City Voting Precinct No. 10, with
C. C. Gordon as Presiding Judge.

All qualified voters who reside in that portion of County Voting Precincts
Nos. 13 and 42, which lies within the City, shall vote at the Jefferson Street
Fire Station,, herein designated as City Voting Precinct No. 11, with J. F.
Martin as Presiding Judge.
All qualified voters who reside in County Voting Precinct No. 14, shall
vote at 7th St. Fire Station, herein designated as City Voting Precinct No. 12,
with Mrs C. K. Walsh as Presiding Judge.
All qualified voters who reside in County Voting Precincts Nos. 15 and
18, shall vote at Alamo School, herein designated as City Voting Precinct No.
13, with Mrs R. E. Benson as Presiding Judge.
All qualified voters who reside in County Voting Precinct No. 16, shall
vote at Residence, 1700 Pearl, herein designated as City Voting Precinct No.
14, with Mrs W. E. Brothers as Presiding Judge.
All qualified voters who reside in that portion of County Voting Precinct
No. 17, which lies within the City, shall vote at Schlumberger Well Sur. Co.,
1412 Sibley, with Mrs R. E. Stone as Presiding Judge.
All qualified voters who reside in County Voting Precincts Nos. 19 and 44
shall vote at Giddings Street Fire Station, herein designated as City Voting
Precinct No. 16, with Everett Hughes as Presiding Judge.
All qualified voters who reside in County Voting Precinct No. 20 shall
vote at Zundelowitz School, 1706 Polk, herein designated as City Voting Pre-
cinct No. 17, with N. A. Moore as Presiding Judge.
All qualified voters who reside in that portion of County Voting
Precincts Nos. 21 and 22, which lies within the City, shall vote at English
Pharmacy, 2414-A Tenth St., herein designated as City Voting Precinct No.
18, with R. J. Claypool as Presiding Judge.
All qualified voters who reside in County Voting Precinct No. 23 shall
vote at Buchanan St. Fire Station, herein designated as City Voting Precinct
No. 19, with Geo. A. Smoot as residing Judge.
All qualified voters who reside in that portion of County Voting Precinct
No. 24, which lies within the City, shall vote at Sam Houston School, herein
designated as City Voting Precinct No. 20, with Mrs J. S. Counts as Presiding
Judge.
All qualified voters who reside in that portion of County Voting Precinct
No. 40, which lies within the City, shall vote at East Side Presbyterian Church,
herein designated as City Voting Precinct No. 21, with Mrs J. W. Hussey as
Presiding Judge.
All qualified voters who reside in that portion of County Voting Precinct
No. 41, which lies within the City, shall vote at Scotland Methodist Church,
herein designated as City Voting Precinct No. 22, with Helen Arbuckle as
Presiding Judge.
All qualified voters who reside in that portion of County Voting Precinct
No. 43, which lies within the City, shall vote at Ben Franklin School, herein
designated as City Voting Precinct No. 23, with Mrs Walter Krog as Presiding
Judge.
All qualified voters who reside in that portion of County Voting Precinct
No. 45, which lies within theCity, shall vote at Westover Hills Community
House, Intersection East & West Wenonah Streets, herein designated as City
Voting Precinct No. 24, with Mrs Tom Fortune as Presiding Judge.
All qualified voters who reside in that portion of County Voting Precinct
No. 47, which lies within the City, shall vote at Carrigan School, herein
designated as City Voting Precinct No. 25, with C. L. Murph as Presiding
Judge.
SECTION h. That a copy of this Resolution signed by the Mayor of
said City and attested by the City Clerk shall serve as a proper notice of
said election.
The Mayor is further authorized and directed to cause a Notice calling
such election to be published three times in the official newspaper of the City,
the first publication of the Notice shall be ten (10) days before the election.

Moved by Aldermah Thomas that the above and foregoing Resolution No.
105 be approved and passed as read.
Motion seconded by Alderman Putman and carried by the following
vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Thomas, Ray and Putman, and Mayor Jones.

REPORT OF THE ENGINEER AS TO FINAL COMPLETION OF IMPROVEMENTS ON
HOLLIDAY STREET, IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALL. , TEXAS
TO THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
Gentlemen:
I beg to report that Stuckey Construction Company, a partnership, of
Wichita Falls, Texas, to whom was awarded the contract for the improvement of
certain streets and avenues in the City of WichitaFalls, Texas, has completed
the improvements on
HOLLIDAY STREET from the South Property Line of Fifth Street
to the North Property Line of Seventh Street, known and
designated as Unit or District No. 11.
The said improvements having been completed in strict accordance
with the terms of said contract and specifications of said work adopted by
the City, I hereby recommend that the said improvements be finally accepted
by the Board of Aldermen.

RESOLUTION NO. 106
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEEMENTS ON A PORTION OF HOLLIDAY STREET
AND DIRECTING THE ISSUANCE AND ➢ELIVERY OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE
OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS LEVIED.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls, heretofore entered into a contract
with Stuckey Construction Company, a partnership, of WichitaFalls, Texas, for
the making and construction of certain improvements on the following portion of
Holliday Street in said City tc wit:
HOLLIDAY STREET, from the South Property Line of Fifth Street
to the North Property Line of Seventh Street, known and designated
as Unit or District No. 11.
and,
WHEREAS, such improvements have been completed upon said portion of
Holliday Street and have been inspected and found to be complete in accordance
with the contract therefor, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
I.
The improvements on said portion of Holliday Street, be, and they are
hereby, accepted; and the contract with reference to the construction of such
improvements be, and is hereby, found and declared fully completed and performed.
II.
The Mayor be, and he is hereby directed to issue and execute in the
name of the City, certificates in evidence of the special assessments levied
against abutting property and owners thereof for such improvements, and the
City Clerk is directed to execute same and impress thereon the corporate seal,
all in accordance with the proceedings relating to such improvements and assess-
ments; such certificates shall be delivered to said Company.
III.
This Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its
passage.
