RATIFYING THE CITY MANAGER'S ACCEPTANCE OF THE
' PROPOSAL OF PALCO MECHANICAL CONTRACTORS, INC.,
FOR REPLACEMENT OF GAS LINES AT THE HEALTH UNIT
WHEREAS, a substantial gas leak was found in the exterior gas lines at
the Health Unit; and
WHEREAS, this posed a hazard to both our employees and the public; and
WHEREAS, Article 2368a of Vernon's Revised Civil Statutes authorizes the
expenditure of funds without receiving competitive bids in emergency situations;
and
WHEREAS, the situation at the Health Unit clearly constituted an emergency
upon which immediate action was required.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The action of the City Manager in accepting the proposal of Palco Mechanical
Contractors, Inc. in the amount of $7,103 is hereby ratified.
