RESOLUTION DECLARING OBJECTIVES FOR CITY LAKE 1
LEASES.
WHEREAS, the citizens of Wichita Falls have a long term and
paramount interest in maintaining a safe potable water supply; and,
WHEREAS, the City realizes that some, but not other, lessees
of City Lake property have honored their lease contracts in good
faith and have exhibited an interest in establishing and maintaining
a quality environment at City lakes throughout the terms of their .w
leaseholds; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls desires .�
to strike a balance between the various interests for the benefit

of all concerned:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City of Wichita Falls hereby adopted the following position
and objectives concerning City Lake leases:
(1) Long term leases and options for renewal thereunder will
be honored as long as lessees are in compliance with the terms of
the lease contract.
(2) Leases not in compliance and which are not brought into
compliance pursuant to the lease provisions shall be subject to
cancellation.
(3) The City shall work with resident representatives to I
develop a system whereby sufficient revenues are raised to provide

trash disposal, street maintenance, water and other similar
services conducive to a healthy environment.
