RESOLUTION NO. '‘l 2--Q 10
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN
AMENDMENT TO THE I.S.T.E.A. PHASE II TRAIL PROJECT
WITH TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.
WHEREAS, the City and the Texas Department of Transportation have •
entered into contract to construct a trail along Holliday Creek and Lake
Wichita; and,
WHEREAS, the cost estimate for the bridge over FM 369 to Kiwanis Park
is felt prohibitive, and that it would be unsafe to end a trail at FM 369 due to
high speed vehicular traffic; and,
WHEREAS, it is now desirable to execute a contract with Texas
Department of Transportation to change the trail alignment from the dam
south, ending at Fairway Drive in Jaycee Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an amendment to
I.S.T.E.A. Phase II trail contract changing the trail alignment from the west end •
of the dam south along the lake shoreline ending at Fairway Drive on the
south end of Jaycee Park.
