Ordinance modifying the appropriations in the Water & Sewer Fund
budget for the 2021-22 fiscal year to allow for emergency repairs to the
9th Street Elevated Storage Tank, and declaring an emergency
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, THAT:
WHEREAS, the City is currently operating in the 2021-22 fiscal year; and,
WHEREAS, due to an emergency, the City of Wichita Falls, FY 2021-22 Budget needs
modification; and,
WHEREAS, due to stated emergency repair of the 9th Street Elevated Storage Tank
immediate action is required,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
$7 million of unrestricted fund balance, gained over two fiscal years, will be used to
increase the FY 2021-22 Operating Budget to allow for completion of the aforementioned
project and that this ordinance is effective immediately.
