Res 165-2021 Transfer Aged Receivables to Dormant for 20-21 Year End Close 12/21/2021 Resolution No. 165-2021 Resolution approving the transfer of various aged receivable accounts to dormant status as part of the city's fiscal year end closing process WHEREAS, each year, the City Council removes from the general ledger various aged receivable accounts and transfers them to dormant status for possible collection by the Legal Department and/or outside collection agencies. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: 1. The Chief Financial Officer is hereby authorized to remove from the general ledger the charges hereinafter set out, which are now deemed un-collectible and/or obsolete: Water/Sewer/Refuse/Storm Water Charges $215,337.44 $215,337.44 2. The City Attorney and/or outside Collection Agencies are authorized to evaluate the un-collectible accounts receivable and file suits and claims therein if such actions are determined to be cost-effective.
