Resolution authorizing the City Manager to purchase replacement
firefighter turnout gear from Casco Industries, Inc. in the amount of
$65,148.00
WHEREAS, the City maintains personal protective equipment for its firefighters.
WHEREAS, under Texas Commission on Fire Protection and National Fire
Protection Association rules, the protective gear is required to be retired before the end
of its 10-year life span.
WHEREAS, Casco Industries has been providing gear under a Texas Buy Board
contract and is the authorized distributor of the gear that has been specified by the
department.
WHEREAS, the department makes annual investments in turnout gear to
consistently replace the oldest gear before its expiration.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Council authorizes the City Manager to purchase gear from Casco
Industries, Inc. in the amount of$65,148.00.
