Res 113-2004 8/17/2004 RESOLUTION NO. 1 - ) .'�� RESOLUTION AMENDING ANIMAL CONTROL FEES FOR LICENSING, PERMITTING, IMPOUNDMENT, QUARANTINE, DISPOSAL AND TRAP DEPOSIT FOR THE WICHITA FALLS-WICHITA COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH DISTRICT; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW. WHEREAS, the health district performs animal control services for the citizens of Wichita Falls, and WHEREAS, the fees for said services have remained the same since 1985, and WHEREAS, animal control fees are no longer established by ordinance, and WHEREAS, the current fees are no longer sufficient to cover the costs of providing this service; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The fees charged by the Health District Animal Control Program shall be established as follows: annual animal license fee for neutered animal $7.00, three year neutered animal $21.00; annual license fee for not neutered animal $15.00, three year not neutered animal $45.00; duplicate license $4.00; reapplication fee, $10.00; annual vicious dog license $50. Annual permit fees for fowl $10.00; livestock $25.00; reapplication $10.00; pet shop $75.00; riding school or stable $75.00; grooming shop $50.00; zoological park $100.00; circus $100.00; performing animal exhibition $100.00; equine recreational rides $100.00; potbellied pigs $25.00; nonconforming use $25.00; pet fanciers neutered animals $25.00; pet fanciers not neutered $50.00; and FFA14-H $5.00. Annual kennel permits for 5 to 14 dogs or cats $50.00, 15 to 49 dogs or cats $100.00, 50 or more dogs or cats $150.00. Impoundment fees shall be established as follows: Animal $25.00 each plus $3.50 board/day; livestock $50.00 each plus $3.50 board/day plus any veterinary or drug fees incurred and quarantine fees $3.50/day. Disposal fees shall be established as follows: dead animal $5.00 each; live, owned animal $5.00 each; and livestock $50.00 each. A trap deposit will be required for traps obtained from the animal control office. Those deposits are as follows: small trap $25.00 and large trap $100.00. SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law. PASSED AND APPROVED this the 17th day of August, 2004.
