Ord 53-2021 Repealing Inactive Sections of the Code 10/19/2021 Ordinance No. 53-2021
Ordinance repealing Chapter 2, Article III, Division 8 -Youth Activities
Advisory Council, and Chapter 26, Article V, Chapter 26, Division 2-
Metal Recycling Entity, from the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Wichita Falls, Texas; providing for inclusion; providing for
severability; and providing an effective date
WHEREAS, from time to time the City of Wichita Falls reviews the Code of
Ordinances to determine the applicability of certain ordinances; and,
WHEREAS, the above-mentioned sections of the City of Wichita Falls Code of
Ordinances have been reviewed and are no longer current or have otherwise been
merged or been disposed of through State of Texas action; and,
WHEREAS, repealing the above-mentioned sections will clarify the City of Wichita
Falls Code Ordinances for the citizens of the City of Wichita Falls.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, THAT:
1. The following sections of the City of Wichita Falls Code of Ordinances are
hereby repealed:
• Chapter 2, Article III, Division 8 - Youth Activities Advisory Council.
• Chapter 26, Article V, Chapter 26, Division 2- Metal Recycling Entity.
2. It is the intention of the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, that the
provisions of this ordinance shall become a part of the Code of Ordinances of
the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and that sections of this ordinance may be
renumbered or relettered to accomplish such intention.
3. Should any word, phrase, paragraph, section or portion of this ordinance or the
Code of Ordinances, as amended hereby, be held to be void or
unconstitutional, the same shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions
of said ordinance or the Code of Ordinances, as amended hereby, which shall
remain in full force and effect.
4. This Ordinance shall take effect November 20, 2021.
