Resolution authorizing the purchase of one (1) Front Loader through
the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) Purchasing
Cooperative from Bruckner Truck Sales, Inc. in the amount of
$154,387.00 and through the BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative from
Texan Waste Equipment Rentals & Sales, LLC dba Heil of Texas in the
amount of $184,900.00
WHEREAS, Texas Local Government Local Government Code §252.022 exempts
items purchased through interlocal cooperative purchasing contracts from the State's
competitive bidding requirements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls has passed a resolution
approving the participation in such cooperative agreements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Bruckner Truck Sales, Inc. is offering one
(1)turnkey Front End Loader through the BuyBoard and H-GAC Purchasing Cooperatives
comprised of the Mack TE64R cab and chassis from Bruckner Truck Sales, Inc. and the
Heil HalfPack full eject commercial front loader body from Heil of Texas, and it is in the
best interest to purchase equipment in accordance with the Cooperative Purchasing
Programs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
City Staff is authorized to execute all documents necessary to purchase one (1)
Front Loader from Bruckner Truck Sales, Inc. and Texan Waste Equipment Rentals &
Sales, LLC dba Heil of Texas through the BuyBoard and H-GAC Purchasing
Cooperatives in the amount of$339,287.00.
