Ord 41-2021 Rezone 522 6th Street from LI to CBD 09/07/2021 Ordinance No. 41-2021 Ordinance rezoning approximately +/-0.52 acres of land located at 522 6th Street (Lots 8-10, Block 138, Original Town), from Light Industrial to Central Business District (CBD) zoning district and amend the Land Use Plan from Light Industrial to Downtown to allow for expansion of commercial uses and alignment with adjacent districts WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission considered the proposed zoning change at its August 11, 2021 meeting, and voted to recommend approval of this request; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed this request and has determined the herein described Zoning amendment is in the public interest. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: 1. Lots 8-10, Block 138, Original Townsite of Wichita Falls (522 6th Street — +/- 0.52 acres), as depicted on the attached map incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment "A", is hereby rezoned from Light Industrial (LI) to Central Business District (CBD). 2. The area on the Land Use Map, as depicted on the attached map incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment "B", is hereby amended to change the area from Light Industrial to Downtown.
