Ordinance making an appropriation to the Special Revenue Fund for
The Public Health Crisis Response/ Public Health Workforce grant
funding in the amount of $1,929,328 received from the Department of
State Health Services and authorizing the City Manager to execute
contract accepting same
WHEREAS, the Department of State Health Services wishes to enhance local
response to the global pandemic; and,
WHEREAS, the approval of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to
the adoption of the 2020 -2021 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is hereby appropriated in the Special Revenue Fund $1,929,328 for the
COVID-19 Public Health Crisis Response/ Public Health Workforce special revenue fund
and the City Manager is authorized to execute the contract accepting said COVID-19
grant funding from the State of Texas Department of State Health Services.
