Ordinance authorizing the City Manager to execute all documents
necessary to apply for and accept $150,000 in FY 2021-22 Texas
Department of Transportation Aviation Division Non-Primary
Entitlement grants for hangar construction at Kickapoo Downtown
Airport
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls owns Kickapoo Downtown Airport; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has identified the need for the construction of
new hangars at said airport; and
WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Transportation Aviation Division provides
non-primary entitlement grants for the construction of hangars; and,
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls City Council has already approved the acceptance
of $600,000 in Texas Department of Transportation non-primary entitlement grants for
the Kickapoo Downtown Airport hangar project; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to apply for an additional $150,000 in
FY 2021-22 Texas Department of Transportation Aviation Division non-primary
entitlement funds for the construction of hangars.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary, in
form approved by the City Attorney, to pursue, apply for, and accept the Texas
Department of Transportation Aviation Division FY 2021-22 non-primary entitlement
funds in an amount of $150,000 for the construction of hangars at Kickapoo Downtown
Airport.
