RESOLUTION NO. _61-2012_
Resolution To Award Contract For The 2012 BUIP - Sanitary Sewer
Rehabilitation Project (CWF12-550-14) To Insituform Technologies,
Inc. In The Estimated Amount Of $789,762.50
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has requested a proposal from Insituform
Technologies, Inc. for the 2012 BUIP – Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project (CWF12-
550-14);
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this is purchase is from Buyboard, a local
government purchasing cooperative, and this purchase is exempt from competitive
bidding obligations pursuant to TEXAS LOCAL GOV’T CODE § 271.102(c).
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this purchase is exempt from the
requirements for competitive bidding pursuant to TEX. LOCAL GOV’T CODE §
252.022(a)(2) because it is a procurement necessary to preserve or protect the public
health and safety of the residents of the City of Wichita Falls; and
WHEREAS, it is found that the quote is reasonable and competitive and
Insituform Technologies, Inc. is a responsible contractor which made a unit price
proposal with an estimated total of $789,762.50.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The unit price proposal for the 2012 BUIP – Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation
Project (CWF12-550-14) is awarded to Insituform Technologies, Inc., in an estimated
total amount of $789,762.50, and the City Manager is authorized to execute a contract
for the City with said Contractor for the construction of such project.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 3rd day of July, 2012.
