Resolution Authorizing The Purchase of Two Mack LEU613 Trucks
with Automated Side Load Sanitation Bodies through TXMAS from
Bruckner's Truck Sales In The Amount Of $468,839.80.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls requested quotes for the purchase of Side
Load Sanitation Trucks Bodies; and
WHEREAS, the City has reviewed a proposal using the Texas Multiple Award
Schedule (TXMAS) from Bruckner's Truck Sales for two Mack LEU613 Trucks with
Automated Side Load Sanitation Bodies in the total amount of $468,839.80; and a
proposal using the Buyboard schedule for Mack LEU613 Trucks from Grande Truck
Center in the amount of $251,966 with Automated Side Load Bodies from Heil of Texas
in the amount of $200,430 (Total =$453,296) and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Bruckner proposal is a TXMAS contract,
and is exempt from competitive bidding requirements pursuant to Texas Local Gov't
Code § 2155.504.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds the Grande Truck Center and Heil of Texas
proposal is from Buyboard, which is exempt from competitive bidding requirements
pursuant to Texas Local Government Local Government Code §§ 252.022(a)(12) &
271.101 et. seq.
WHEREAS, the City has the option to authorize this purchase from Bruckner via
the TXMAS schedule or from Buyboard, to be supplied by Grande Truck Center and Heil
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
City staff are authorized to execute all documents necessary to purchase:
Two Mack LEU613 Trucks with Automated Side Load Sanitation
Bodies through TXMAS from Bruckner's Truck Sales in the amount
of $468,839.80.
