IPw2 Wichita Falls, Texas. Basement City National Bank Bldg., March 21st, 1927. The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session on the above date with the following members present; R. E. Shepherd, Mayor, Oral Jones, ) Frank Queisser,) P. B. Curd, ) Aldermen, J. H. Patton, ) J. W. Hunt, ) W. E. McBroom, City Clerk, W. E. George, City Attorney. The Minutes of the Previous meeting were read and approved. Moved by Alderman Hunt that the Laundry Supply Company be permitted to build a brick business house on Lot 11, Taylor Subdivision, being 1412 Sibley Avenue, and establish a loading dock 3 feet and 6 inches above the present pavement in accordance with the directions of the City Engineer. Motion seconded by Alderman Patton and carried. Moved by Alderman Hunt that G. C. Carlton be permitted to establish a root beer stand at Sixteenth & Holliday Streets, on Lot 1, Block 1, Spivey Addition. Motion seconded by Alderman Jones and carried. Moved by Alderman Jones that L. E. Hughs be permitted to construct a drive-in filling station at 201 Scott Avenue. Motion seconded by Alderman Hunt and carried. Moved by Alderman Curd that the Kiwanis Club be permitted to use a part of the street in front of the Court House on Lamar Street Monday, March 28th, 1927, for distributing pigs. Motion seconded by Alderman Jones and carried. The hearing with reference to paving North Lamar from the North Curb Line of Wichita Street to the North Curb Line of Brook Avenue was called and after hearing protests the following motio*as put in order. ORDINANCE NO.889 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION ONE OF ORDINANCE NO, 692 PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF W ICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, MARCH 8TH, 1926., AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF ORDINANCE NO. 538 PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE /S DAY OF jJIL 1924 "CREATING THE OFFICE OF ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR, REGDLIT—ING THE WAY AND MANNER IN WHICH ELECTRICIAL WIRES AND APPARATUS SHALL BE INSTALLED IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AND PROVIDING FOR THE GENERAL INSPECTION OF SUCH WORK; PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF LICENSE AND PERMITS; PROVIDING FOR FEES TO BE CHARGED AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH; PROVIDING A PENALTY." Gloved by Alderman Hunt that the City Clerk be instructed to give notice by publication of the intention of the City to purchase the builder's hardware for the new auditorium building at 1:00 o'clock P.
