The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session on the above date with the following members present: R. E. Shepherd, Mayor, Oral Jones, ) P. B. Curd, ) J. H. Patton, ) Aldermen, J. W. Hunt, ) r•rank Queisser, ) W. E. McBroom, City Clerk, W. E. George, City Attorney. The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Moved by Alderman Jones that the hearing with reference to paving North Lamar Street from Wichita Street to North Brook Street be continued until 7:30 O'Clock P. M., March 21st, 1927. Motion seconded by Alderman Queisser and carried. Moved by Alderman Hunt that a public hearing be held in the Council Room in the Basement of the City National Bank Building at 7:30 O'Clock P. M., March 28th, 1927, for the purpose of hearing protests against closing, vacating and selling the triangle located at the dead end of Front Street West of Indiana and North of Block 92, Original Townsite, and the City Clerk be instructed to publish notice of such hearing. Motion seconded by Alderman Jones and carried. Engineer's Letter Wichita Falls, Texas Kemp Blvd., March 14th, 1927. Ave G to Ave H Hon. Mayor and City Commissioners, Wichita Falls, Texas. Gentlemen: - This is to certify that the pavement on Kemp Boulevard, from the South Property line of Avenue G, to the South Property Line of Avenue H, has been completed by L. E. Whitham & Company, in accordance with the Plans and Specifications therefor, heretofore filed with your honorable body. I therefore recommend that this pavement be accepted. Respectfully, (Signed) F. Moved by Alderman Jones that the bid of the Western Excava- ting Company in the amount of $799.00, covering the construction of a concrete siphon on Twenty Fourth Street and City Acqueduct be accepted and the Mayor be authorized to enter into contract for this work in accordance with the specifications.
